I absolutely adore Hild, it wasn't until this season that I realized how much of a badass she is. Loyal friend to Uhtred too.

I love Uhtred's and Hild's relationship/friendship!!

I love their friendship. It's great to see a multifaceted complex female character too. The scene in the field after he's rescued from slavery is just beautiful. Love her character!

Finally a positive relationship between a man and a woman that is NOT sexual or romantic. TV shows now a days have such a hard time showing men and women in sweet and caring relationships that do not revolve around sex and romance. More shows need to do this. Because honestly, it is possible for men and women to just be friends! We can care for each other without wanting to jump each others bones 24/7. That's a real thing that happens .

I agree...men and women can be friends and work together without being romantically linked. Popular entertainment is obsessed with Eros and they forget about Platonic relationships except for in Will and Grace type situations...and that is a crying shame!

@@nicolejarel5953 Too bad most writers on TV can't write women as proper human beings like Lost Kingdom. They are always exaggerated caricatures, stock characters or fake 'strong women' forced into an authority role, or even worse damsels in distress who need to be saved by a man. The Lost Kingdom really outdid themselves, they wrote so many good female characters into the show.

My favorite character, honestly one of the few fictional female characters on tv now that I admire as a role model. She's just so complicated but true to who she is and what she believes. A true woman's woman.

Hilde is amazing. She's like the sister/mother Uhtred never had. I love her character.

Hild is one of the best characters in this show, and Eva is perfect in that role. I love the relationship that she and Uhtred have. It's obvious there is love and affection between them, but also respect.

One of the best female characters on TV at the moment. Absolutely love her!

The series needs way more of Hild. I would've loved a little bit of a back story about her. I also love that she isn't a very young woman, but probably in her 30s (which probably at the time would have seemed older than it is nowadays). She's a fully grown woman and a wise one at that. Such male-centred stories, great as they can be, do need characters like hers here and there.

Awesome! Love her and her character in the show. My favorite scene in this story was when Uhtred returned from slavery and he didn't want to look at her. That whole chemistry almost brought a tear to my eye it was so powerful! You are too good of a woman for God alone! Uhtred it is you!

Brida was the one who left Uhtred, Mildrith was the one Uhtred left behind, Iseult was taken from Uhtred by Skropa, Gisela was the one fate took away, Aethelflaed wanted an escape, But Hild was the one who stayed, Hild was the woman Uhtred deserved. P.S And fluk Skade, she totally deserved it.
