The husband is so adorable, loving and funny.

This was such a beautiful couple. It brought me joy just watching their well matched energy and love. May God continue to bless them and desire to be a blessing to others. Hilary did an outstanding job as usual.

My parents had the pull-out trash. I hated it. They filled up so fast you were constantly taking out trash.

I understand her on not wanting trash bin inside the cabinet, I hate it too, unless the pull out cabinet is made of stainless steel so that I can sanitize the cabinet when I am sanitizing the bins.

Mine is out, has a lid, i wash it. No drawer. Also that was a small trash can. Mine gets really full. I can see what u mean. I guess hillary should have listened to her client. It's her $ and house to live in, not Hillary's.

As always, Hilary “ listened” to her clients, and delivered. As happens in life, not always does a client agree with the designer. But his wife agreed ( at the end), that she got what she wanted. Touché Hilary.

I wish Hilary would have updated their banquet, instead of swapping it for two chairs. I think it was more practical with a family.

Where in the world did they get countertops for that huge kitchen for only $5K????

I don't want my trash in a cabinet either. Invariably, there's going to be near misses with stuff running down the sides of the cans straight onto the wooden base.

I feel so sorry for Hillary. This ungrateful wife makes her feel like she didn't do well. This wife is a hard to please one. Or maybe she just doesn't know how to appreciate interior design. The husband on the other hand was soooo appreciative and somehow he made up for what his wife was lacking. 😂

Having a pull out cabinet for trash is amazing. I love mine.

Nice couple. Great update. I love it and I am sure they will be quite comfortable with the home refreshed.

I'm with you, Hilary. I can't stand seeing rubbish bins out on show. I have two under the sink - one for landfill and one for recyclables. And compost goes straight out onto the balcony worm composta.

I wouldn't want a trashcan in a cabinet. It would just get yucky in there. Maybe it's a middle class thing? My grandma used to keep a little bag and put food scraps in it, then every night threw it away. The kitchen was next to a garage, she had a trash right outside the door, for the little bags and for bigger waste.

You basically described my life. We keep a small bag in the kitchen and put it out everyday. Our kitchen is by the garage so the trash is removed from the kitchen when the bag gets filled and placed in the larger trash bag.

Yes, it was weird. I know it’s common in Asia to have wet rooms and it seems she was inspired by that, but I would hate that system in my bathroom, I need a separation between the shower and the rest of the area.

In a hot kitchen the trash cabinet you have to have something for the wet trash that seals completely, like a compost container.

Didn't like the kitchen after

The girl home owner was ungrateful and bizarre.

The place is beautiful.. Hilary is THE BEST!! So talented! the husband is so grateful… the woman is just a selfish me me me person.. bossy.. we know who times the roost in that house.. she’s doesn’t seem to excited … it’s like it’s on purpose.. 🤮

If I’m the one paying for the renovation, I’m not going to have some snooty, know-it-all designer tell me what she’s going to put in MY home just because SHE thinks that’s what I need or want. Whatever Hilary wants SHE can just get off HER butt and pay for it HERSELF! I won’t allow her to spend MY money on her own personal wants and needs in MY space!

It's sad when changes are just for the sake of changes! The kitchen was very atmospheric, original, but now it’s ordinary, standard, without much design!
