The best Kottu to try is the Egg Kottu. It’s the best of both worlds between the vegetarian choice and the chicken kottu or even the cheese kottu. The local Sri Lankan favorite is the Egg Kottu.

Hikkaduwa is one of the most tourist area in Sri Lanka. It caters to tourists, that's why it's way expensive than other places.

For turtles do not miss Kosgoda Turtle conservation area. ( Closer to Hikkaduwa, 30mins drive). For more calmer beaches please try East coast ( Passikudah, Nilaweli) as well as NorthWest Coast ( Kalpitiya, you can try Dolphin watching here as well) .

Amazing place to spend Christmas 🎄

Hi Guys Danger, beware the tides. Several people have died this year, and I was nearly one of them. It's almost a daily occurence to see people being saved, especiaaly where Narigama meets Hikkaduwa.

OMG!!! I didn't know u will be at Hikka. My best brother friend Leonard & his wife Ning a Phillipina from London arrived a few days ago. And they are staying with a relative in Hikka. Now he will go to Colombo. Maybe u have come across this couple. They will be there until 26 or 27th. Have a great wonderful time

Check ..Rangal super beach .. next to drifters..' talk to Anura or Rangal..abt body boarding & surfing .' Main street is galle road .. all the way from galle to colombo fort

7:55 those are not fishing boat. Those are corral safari boat, that mean it got glass bottom so when boat go over corral you can see corral and fish thru glass bottom.

Here are some restaurants you can have Sri Lankan authentic food in Hikkaduwa. You can try and see those places as well. Love from SL. Canal View restaurant, Neela's beach restaurant, Home grown rice and curry restaurant, A2 restaurant, CK hopper shop, Fantasy pot luck, Asian jewel boutique hotel. Have fun cheers !!!

For a less touristy location come down to Dodanduwa south just a few kilometres down from Hikkaduwa to the fishing harbour and do a kayak safari.

I worked in hikkaduwa for a few years.some days i came to the beach and enjoyed a BBQ with nice sunset including 🍺.before the thusami came my family went to see the coral reef before 17 years a go. It was very beautiful.but the coral reef was destroyed after the thusami.👍

I remember as a youngster years ago going in a glass bottomed boat to view the coral.Very sad if it has been destroyed

You can go for a boat ride at Madu River, which is in Balapitiya. Search and go. I am pretty sure, It will be a great experience to you guys.

This used to be a beautiful place. The reef was damaged by the Tsunami and is now almost dead. Visit Talpe beach, Hiriketiya, Ahangama, Hummanaya (blow hole), Maadu river (mangrove), Bentota etc

Hikkaduwa is very popular among tourists .but there are some nice beach areas around hikkaduwa like kosgoda. Balapitiya. Iduruwa.wadduwa . Please try to visit . Anyway beautiful vlog as usual.enjoy

The Lion ginger beer is a bit sweet but not bad. I had no spice defeat me when I was there March-April 2022. Lion lager was my beer of choice and all Sri Lankan food from breakfast to snack. I did Dambulla, Sigirya, Trincomalee, Unawatuna, Galle, Hikaduwa, Marrisa, and Weligama. Have fun

I think you guys should visit galle fort for the next time sinha raja and kanneliya are also recommended ( because you guys are all ready in galle it would be easy to visit those places)

Hey if you like kottu very much you must try "chicken masala cheese kottu". If you come to colombo again go to colombo 3 (kollupity) Plaza restaurant they have the best masala kottu in colombo.

Restaurant Garmini on the end of hikkaduwa on the left side. It’s very cheap and fresh lokal rice and curry. We eating every day there. We fly this wintertime to hikkaduwa the people are very friendly. The last winter we was all so in hikkaduwa. My woman was five times there make Holiday. I love it to but I was three weeks in Galle in hospital a got bakteries in my leg.

Hikkaduwa is the most tourists attraction beach in sri Lanka.💙. few days ago the lowest equivalent temperature was recorded in Sri Lanka ever.everywhere the temperature decreased by 10C°.How was it? 😊 ..love you.❤️

Hikkaduwa is my hometown and i live around 400m way from Hungry Bug. Its really nice to see that you two are enjoying here in Hikkaduwa. Try chicken curry which comes in a clay pot in MAMAs restaurant if you like. It was tasty for me. Glad i saw your video. I though there are only Ukranians & Russian ☺️
