actually the main reason no one post the directions is because it crosses a downhill mountain biking trail which has caused some injuries lately from MTBikers trying to avoid hikers. More experienced hikers are usually non issue but new hikers looking for the swing have been a big danger. you have kids hanging out in the middle of the trails on a portion where it's impossible to brake or come to a complete stop. MTB community is currently trying to get together to build a trail specifically that leads to the swings that keeps people off the downhill MTB trail to avoid further injuries

I finally came to this hiking trail but unfortunately a lot of the trail markings are sprayed painted...😮got lost...luckily I joined a couple and made it...well kind of. I was too scared to do the rope trail because it got pitch black.

Ok I just did this hike to the caves today at 1pm, it was like 96 degrees out, no shade, not enough water and this hike IS A BEAR! do not try this if your shoes dont grip that well, or you are heat sensitive. Its straight up, over rocks, dirt, hill sides at a crazy angle and the heat reflected off of the surface gets to you quickly. Once you are at the caves, they are in dis repair, most of the artwork has rubbed away and if you slip off those cables getting to the caves kiss your ankles goodbye, both will likely snap! other than this, it offers really great views of Simi Valley!

I only found six T-14 brown markers and from there we got so lost. There are places where the trail splits and eventually you just have to climb rocks to get there. We never found it.

  • @hikeronatrail

Before the "Wonderland" spray painted, I just climbed on the rocks, the arrows painted were pretty good at guiding me. To go inside the actual cave there was a ladder when I went, the ladder was kinda sketchy so have someone hold on. Baby booomer hiking this? The first time I went was with my friend and her parents, and they were up there in age, and I was the one being the snail in the group. It just depends on your fitness level. Some parts are steep, I go early in the a.m.

Hey there, the hike in Simi Valley is the Hummingbird Trail. There is another cave hike nearby in Tarzana, its called the Vanalden Cave, I have exact directions of that hike in my video, that Vanalden Cave is super easy, its like 15 minutes to the cave from trail start.
