After completing the Ruta del Cares before being asked to move the van we look to hike up to the tiny mountain village of Bulnes. Nicola takes the easy route down allowing me to get my downhill shuffle on. Upon returning to the van we hear a tiny meow and go to investigate ....

We are 'The Cookes' and we simply love to travel. Join us from the road as we look to explore our planet, one cake (and photo) at a time. At the beginning of 2020 we had a plan (and a backup plan) however as like most folks living our plans went up in smoke. Since then we have been spinning our wheels on the North Coast of Ireland waiting patiently for a gap in the fence. That gap finally came at the beginning of July and we re now on the road in Europe.
We both have had some significant struggles with mental health issues over the years, but feel at our happiest when on the road. Don't expect polished b-roll and epic soundtracks. This channel, first and foremost, is for us. Our memory of travel that one day we can look back on. Secondly, we want this channel to be authentic and so it's important we share the ups and downs, the good and the bad.
Hope to publish 3 videos a week when we are on the road, two of which will be van/travel related with the other being focused on my (Nigel) travel and landscape photography.
