I bet your boys would love it! The Mojave National Preserve has some sand dunes that are very fun as well. It is a very remote area, but has some cool things to see. Have a wonderful weekend!

Absolutely stunning hike Anita. Didn't know that the 🐍🐍 were sleeping in the winter months. Enjoyed seeing the volcanic rock and porous walls left behind. But the guy with a big 👃was looking back at me! 🤣🤣 The slot canyon was interesting as you mention. We'd need to take the elevator! Easy is in the eye of the beholder. Thanks so much for bringing us along!

Most of it was an easy trail! But that last section was interesting. Unfortunately there isn't an elevator. I was surprised when I learned that rattlesnakes hibernate in the winter months. Good thing for us, because I am sure they are out there!

What an incredible hike through the desert! Love the mountains in the distance and the rocky, desert terrain. The rock formations on the cliffs are amazing. Would be cool to hear the wind in person at the banshee canyon. That is so cool, it really does look like Swiss cheese. Those rings look like they can be quite tricky to climb up, wow! Those rings were a bit challenging, but fun! We didn't hear the Banshee noise either, but I am guessing that the wind needs to come from a certain direction to make those sounds. It was a fun and remote place to explore. Thanks!

It was pretty cool that we had it all to ourselves. It was windy when we visited, but the wind must have been from the wrong direction because I never heard the Banshee sound. The rings were pretty fun to climb as well. I hope you are having an awesome day!

Awesome view combing up! Surprising me that such a cool place is relatedly close to me in California. Mojave Preserve has awesome rock formations. Interesting on the rattle snakes.. Birds and Joshawa trees are a bargain deal. The portal holes are amazing. Wow takes some commitment to truck on through the rocks! Enjoyed the adventure. I love this new adventure! If you want to get away from people, you probably need to go there, though rattlesnakes 🐍 something scares me! But the rocks with holes surprised me very much, somehow unusual! But it is very convenient to move around, the rings are very well thought out!🙋‍♂️👍👍👍

The first thing that went into my head was the rattlesnakes. Good thing that they were still in hybernation mode. Love the sound of those birds. Amazing skies and stunning paysage. Seemed like you were really alone in the area. Interesting facts about those holes. Thanks for sharing this natural wonder.

Yes that is the first thing that comes into a lot of people's minds. But they do tend to hibernate in the winter months. In all my travels throughout the western US, I have never run into one. It was a fun place to explore, even if we were the only ones there!

The forces of nature that have created this over millions of years never ceases to amaze me. Beautiful landscapes and definitely an interesting scramble up through the slot canyon. This is truly an awe-inspiring desert hike. The rock formations are super cool, you can just wander through and admire the natural formations and holes. It's a nice easy hike to get there where you can admire nature and see desert plants and creatures. Enjoyed this fabulous exploration 🌵🌵😀👍👍
