Hiking the Length of the Great Wall of China - 4500km

Спорт

This is the 50-minute film of my epic life-changing journey thru-hiking the length of the Great Wall of China. I swapped my high heels for walking boots and left behind all the comforts of my fairly glamourous life as a model, to embark on my first ever adventure. In 167 days, Tarka L'Herpiniere and I hiked over 4500km, to became the first people in the world to walk continually and unsupported the length of the wall, from it’s most westerly terminus to it’s most easterly. We battled sand storms, blizzards, temperatures from +40ºC to -35ºC, frostbite, starvation, exhaustion and dehydration - narrowly escaping with my life on one occasion.

I always wonder is there anyone who hike all the way full length of Great Wall and here you are. This is so inspiring. Thank you for the clips. I wish it is longer.

I lost it on a 38 minute. This was incredibly dengerouse moment. This is an insane journey that you both did. Very inspiring and exciting. Thank you for sharing! It is also incredible how this type of tourism has developed and grow for the last 15+ years. Like all the lightweight gear and navigation systems that one can buy today. You would probably have to carry several kilos less and this fact on its own makes your journey even more great and you deserve so much respect for this!

This looks way harder than any of the long trails in America. And a 35 kg pack on a 70 kg woman sounds like hell.

Watching the film I continually have to ask myself why no waterproof boots and no safety ropes for some of the climbing. She could have easily died on some of those risky climbs.

You should have just bought a t-shirt and kept your explanations to yourself. Why deny them their way of making a living? And as far as never seeing an animal maltreated? I'll mention once again 39:51. Why would you have even filmed that? I'm seriously asking, if you have the guts to answer?
