Hiking and Wild Camping Gozo Coastal Trail Malta Part 1/3
March 2022 hike around Gozo Coastal Trail, Day One.
Gozo Coastal Trail is a 56km (ish) hike with approximately 1,700 metres elevation gain across boulders, beaches and through lush vegetation.
This is day one where I arrived on the ferry from Malta, walked from the port at Mgarr across the cliffs to Xlendi Bay and onwards to a 3,500 Punic Temple carved into the cliff.

Fantastic! I'd definitely recommend Gozo even if just for a day trip it's certainly worth it! Have a great time in Malta, Valletta and the Three Cities are amazing places to check out! I imagine it's going to be seriously hot there at this time of year 🔥
I've been to Malta but never to Gozo. They were definitely weird around that rock. Maybe sacred? Then we stay in a Temple overnight. Let's hope the witches don't turn you into a Wabbitt. Thanks for sharing Matt, on to part two.

Morning Chris! Late night or early morning? I really enjoyed this hike around Gozo, in fact the whole trip to the Maltese Islands was great. Very easy to wild camp there too!

Gozo is one of my favourites! Malta, as a country, in general, rules big time! Why didn't I have the idea of sleeping in one of those cave temples? Looks adventurous af!

Malta is majorly religious, but Christian. It's a tiny country with literally a church for every day of the year. This looked like paganism/witchcraft to me though haha Thanks for watching mate 😁
