Hiking Sugarloaf Peak & Pigeon Benchmark: The Inland Empire, Riverside, CA.
Sugarloaf is an attention grabbing mountain when passing by on the 60 Freeway. It is a perfect conical shape when seen at the angle visible from the freeway. I was determined to climb it some day in the future. With my current attention placed on the Inland Empire, it was time to cash in on Sugarloaf Peak. With Pigeon Benchmark as its convenient neighbor, a hike here is a great way for a peak climber to grab two peaks on a single short hike!
