Manchester City marked our first home match of the season with a 4-0 Barclays Women’s Super League victory over Leicester City.
A Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw brace and Lauren Hemp header set the tone for what was a deserved triumph in front of 2,553 supporters.
And a memorable afternoon was capped off when City debutant Yui Hasegawa fired home from distance to round off the scoring.

Hasegawa really has impressive play in the 1st game for Man. City, but seems to be more defensive than her role in national team & West Ham, hopefully she would play more aggressively like Kevin De Bruyne, she can read the game and create more opportunities for her teammates

Check out Aitana Bonmati, incredible first touch and through balance and body shifts alone can create yards of space from her marker. So Iniesta like and was the first female football player to really impress me.

Hemp is an absolute beast. Dribbling is on point. The only thing that messes he up is her speed. If the girls could run faster then it would be a lot more entertaining. The dribbling and shoots is great. My first ever women's match

@@leviskhaemba5762 No. She said just attacking aspect is focused but she can play as defensive midfielder too. The response to David: I think she was taking balance in midfield because other midfielders such as No.10 seemed wanting to take the role of fantasista.

Good game. A great brace from Shaw and equally great goals from Hemp and Hasegawa. Some more chances could've been converted but as the commentator said, there's a lot that can be learned from this game. Great to see women play this beautiful sport. Better luck next time Leicester.
