Its been a great season so far with everyone beating each other. Even the best club RL team in the world are getting beat so SL is at a very good standard.

I’ll let you choose, best RL team in world, false narrative, one off game which has no relevance but deemed best in world but to keep each hemisphere relevant for money. SL is a retirement fund for Aussies or career resurrection always has been always will be.

@@user-lm2wz5qf5o just checked and the World club challenge winners for 2023 are St Helens (who won in Australia) - by your logic then no GF winner is the champion for that season in the NRL or SL - the reason you play a final game is to determine who is the best team ffs. Everyone knew that St Helens were the best SL team in 20 years but Penrith are supposed to be the best NRL team in 20 years as well but they couldn't cope (at home) with such a good Saints team. Don't forget SL plodder like Josh Hodgson and Ryan Sutton went to the NRL and the Aussies think they are great - similarly players like Greg Eastwood couldn't handle SL but went back to the NRL and played for years - horses for courses kid. No one is saying SL is better than the NRL but there have been some cracking games in SL this season and every team can beat anyone else - if your a RL fan who watches SL then you will acknowledge that - if you don't watch any SL or are just a troll you won't.

Agreed, compare the teams and their personnel to that of say 10/12 yrs ago. Standard is poor. Mostly down to the stringent salary cap, two big reasons for the cap: 1/ To stop clubs living beyond their means, that didn't work look what happened to Bradford. 2/ Help bring the lesser clubs up to the standard of the Wigan, Leeds, Saints, and Bradford. That also didn't work, it brought down said clubs to the lower standards of the rest of super league. A level playing field they said, so outside of four clubs who have won the SL title, how the feck is that a level playing field? Increase the cap you will attract better players and increased crowds, the NRL salary cap is now $12.1m = £6.3m 3x that of SL As you said it's become a retirement fund for knackered Aussies or Kiwis, or they come here to hide after a drug scandal down under or some other outrageous acts, Joel woof woof Monaghan being a perfect example.
