Im Canadian/English and couldn't be more happier that the MLS is growing. Watching this game felt like watching any Premier League or La Liga match. This is why Messi signed for Miami to play in the MLS. This league has potential and respect to players like Messi, Busquets, Cheilieni and Alba for coming here rather than Saudi Arabia and the money.

It is true and shows that NOT everybody is out there going to China or Saudi Arabia for the money, because in MLS they do get paid handsomely BUT it is nowhere near to the deals and money that many players are making in leagues like in China, Saudi Arabia, Spain or England. MLS is growing and before Messi arrives, Shaqiri was the highest paid player at $8.5 million but for me while it may be decent, it is still nowhere to what Messi will make in Miami around $40-50 million. Now that is a lot of money! Go Canada! Hope the girls there are beautiful as I imagined to be and the wildlife being beautiful!

@@1607Adi_Manz Maldini is a club legend and the firing wasn’t great optically, but the man had a terrible transfer window and actually got a little too much credit sometimes. He was great at closing deals, but he was not really the one doing all the scouting and homework. Moncada did not get enough credit. Cardinale gave Maldini the chance to earn his trust starting from last year’s contract extension and unfortunately Maldini failed. Maldini also wanted Pioli out which several people at the club did not agree with. Love him, but not flawless.

Puig is the future of Galaxy. His playing style is impeccable.

Wow as a Brazilian i didn't expect such a good game in MLS!

I am so glad I was able to witness this in person. Its even better that my LA Galaxy got the win. Lets hope this win can turn things around.

What a game. MLS has grown rapidly in the past decade but it’s speeding up even more now and it’s so exciting! Quality football, amazing players, great crowds and atmosphere, etc. And that Puig goal was simply beautiful 🤌

Remember LAFC fans you were on our side a few years back 😉, in all seriousness though I’m proud of them without chicharito and the inconsistency. To knock LAFC out the cup and defeat their first team in a season match is amazing to watch 💛💙

This just makes me so happy to see the passion both LA teams have. I’ve been a galaxy fan since the cobi jones days and they won the first mls cup but I love seeing lafc do so good as well. We love LA ❤

15 to 20 years ago, an attendance like this in a football matches in the US is only possible when a European side visits for an MLS All-Star game. Everyone looked forward to seeing their favorite European clubs visits the US. That was the best way to attract people in the US to watch football. Nowadays, look at the attendances for football in the US. The Rose Bowl is one of the most iconic and largest stadium in all North America. This El Traffico Derby, with 80,000+ supporters from both sides, is by far one of the best derby I've seen in MLS to date. As far as the MLS All-Star games go, it's not as taken serious as it once was in the past. Because defeating a European side in the MLS All-Star games was an achievement. Not so much these days. More for entertainment and a break from the regular MLS season and preseason warm up for the visiting club from Europe. Fun to watch though due to the festivities and mini games the MLS All-Star weekend put together, like the skills challenge. GREAT JOB MLS... Wait till Messi arrive though.

I love when matches like this in MLS can draw this much. Atlanta in their first match at Mercedes-Benz stadium against Orlando drew a crowd, than Atlanta draws a bigger one in their first playoff match, than a year later they break the league record that was in place since the first game not once but twice (the latter one being. The MLS cup finals), Seattle drawing a crowd when they won the CCL (I included it cause even though a Liga MX team was in it was still a pro Sounders crowd), and Charlotte last year in their first home match (Galaxy were in that one), and now this

@@1607Adi_Manz no kidding. They pick and choose when to acknowledge MLS. Example. 2018 the Washington Capitals won the Stanley cup for the first time ever. And later that year Atlanta United win the MLS Cup. Why is that relevant? Cause the Capitals won the media said it was the first championship in Washington, D.C. since the now Washington formerly Redskins Super Bowl XXVI whereas Atlanta it was their first since the Atlanta Braves win the 1995 World Series. They recognized MLS when Atlanta won but with Washington they didn’t realize that it wasn’t the first for them since the ‘Skins. Nope. It was the first since DC United won the MLS Cup in 2004 (I think I got the year right). Like they ignored MLS when Capitals won but didn’t when ATL United won it all

The Rose Bowl IS a historic cathedral in sports, but its hardly the largest stadium for "ball" sports, that's easily one of the college stadiums, which some of them are over 100k.

MLS does a great job with their KZread Channel. They do great resumes. I don't watch a lot of football anymore as i did back in the days (i am from europe).... but this league with all these teams and fans are just amaizing and i have followed it since like 2016. It grew so well!! Incredible fans and atmosphere, big full stadiums, i envy you a lot!

I grew up living by the Rose Bowl. If I would have known about this game ahead of time I would have flew home just to see it. Great game!

I mean for an LA rivalry I love the rose bowl but wish they did it at the coliseum in LA...but still was nice getting a treat for once in mLS this season

This game showed more passion than any prem rivalry, that I can tell you. There may not be as many talents as European football but for a league that was only founded recently and had to get fans from scratch, ya I’d say they are doing well

Yay! I was there to set the record. If you love watching the games you just have to go see them your selves even though my seats were just a bit high I still felt really close to the players. Fantastic game next time lets win it LAFC

please end the salary cap and make this league attractive to the rest of the world, it has the potential to become a top-5

As a LAFC fan, love El Traffico every single match. But when I most feared was when Galaxy had Zlatan. Period… I hope after this summer break, LAFC will be back with full strength from crazy match schedules in the first half of this year.

Zlatan took MLS to a different level. His debut againt LAFC was insanely great, one of the best MLS games that I ever witnessed

@@thewurm9177 I totally agree. Even though he plays for Galaxy, I enjoyed his performance against LAFC. Zlatan had god sent presence in those games.

LA Galaxy have now competed in the 2 highest-attended games in MLS History. I was at the previous record game in Charlotte
