Rantanen is 'snakebit' when it comes to shooting - although his shot has been improving during the tournament - but he's been FANTASTIC at setting up his teammates. I think more of Finland's play should go through him. He's now the tournament's assist leader.

Finland will get Rantanen and the rest together soon i think.

Ohtamaa's goal was the similar as the goal in meeting in 2016 (Finland won 3-0))))

People was really blaming our NHL stars about everything, they allways do that, our dumb people.... They dont wanna see NHL players in this tournament, thats kinda funny if you ask me... Look Rantanen now, they just need time.. There is reason why they playing in the NHL and not in the SM-Liiga.... its very similar in Czech republic. Last year Hertl and Vrána didnt play really well in Tampere and they were public enemy number one (among hockey fans ofc). people were saying that having team full of european players would be better than having these ,,princess'' from NHL.

First they crying that we have to play more "as a team" thats why they dont wanna NHL players, then they crying when Rantanen playing as a team and dont make every goal and carry the whole team in every game... Same in Sweden. Many people are only looking on SHL and think it's the best league in the world. Media always pressures our national team coaches about taking out more SHL players than NHLers, why don't uou pick out that guy? He is the best in Leksand and so on. Remember Rickard Grönborg he listened to all SHL experts and took out almost whole team from SHL in 2016 and we got crushed by every single team. After that he said he will take out whole team NHLers from now on, he did and we won gold 2017 and 2018, 2019 he took out from NHL again, this time an unlucky game against Finland (who played really well) and Media directly pressured him that SHL is better, look your team lost against SM liiga team bla bla, so he left and Garpenröv took over, completely inspired by finns gold 2019 with only european players so he took out whole team from SHL, we didn't even go further from GROUP STAGE! Still SHL experts get what they wants, only reason we are winning a little now is because Hallam is really good coach and other teams also have crappy teams. So a little sad about coaches taking crappy SHLers before NHLers.

And when best on best tournaments swedish coaches always seem to be forced to take out at least 3 SHLers who don't stand a fucking chance against someone like McDavid. One of many reasons we never win big tournaments. Sure we won Olympics 2006, we had a lot of SHLers back then as well. Same Olympics 2010 and not to speak Olympics 2014. Mårts had guaranteed Jimmie Ericsson a safe spot in the team before anyone else!! Like he was a star player. Terrible, what happened? Zetterberg injured, Henrik Sedin injured, Bäckström taken away from roster for cheating which he got free from. But Jimmie, king Jimmie as all experts said got to play 1st center against Crosby. We got crushed in the final, it wasn't even worth watching it. Why not take out a NHL center???

Then they wondering why NHL players dont wanna even come, ofc they dont when all they get is the ****storm.... For me NHL players is the only reason i even watch these games tbh, so i feel you.... I wouldn't really say that was a performance to write home about. They played great for moments and overall a decent game. But "On fire" after coming from a close call against France is an overstatement. And keep in mind the opponent was Hungary, a 7-1 win against USA or Sweden would be "on fire". But Finland is Finland, so hopefully better games are coming. And the final is yet to be played. Fight well! :)

This video quality is atrocious. IIHF, get your video production in check.

It took 2 periods of the game for Finland to shine against Hungary. That's sad.

Hes playing against Europeans of course he will score more points and have a more prominent role in Finland, hes a 3rd or 4th line grinder in the NHL.

Tha fact that Hungary has more summer Olympic gold medal (181) per capita than any country in the world except the Bahamas (8), and 3rd in the world in total medals per capita (511) makes your comment quite idiotic. Hungary is 14th place in Olympic medals overall.
