Just want to say thanks to you Jeff. I stumbled along your page because of your fastpacking in Patagonia and really went down a rabbit hole. I haven't ran at all since around 2013, and even back then it was infrequent at best, but I am now 3 weeks into running 3-4 times a week, and a big part of that stoke is the motivation I've found from you. So thank you, from a fellow (Northern) BC-er, for a good kick in the butt! Keep up the amazing videography and story-telling work.

next year jeff, you should be a cam guy, chasing the runners Jamil-style....3 feet behind. Imagine if they had had this race 2 years back at the height of the drought, when all was brown.

Glad you has a warmish sunny day, and got to experience Northern California at what I think its best: lush green grass and sunshine. There aren't many days like that, and they are to be cherished (before it gets hot and it all turns brown). Looking forward to hearing about the Outdoor Vitals trip. I've only recently started to learn about them, but it looks like they have some very interesting new products.

That was a fun video to watch! I am wondering... is Ryan really tall or is it just that everyone else around him is short? Haha. Awesome to see him out there :) Congrats on your race; looks like a beautiful course. I used to fly out to that area for one- to two week long work trips and have awesome memories of weekends hiking and visiting the wineries (I preferred the smaller ones; so much fun tasting the wines!).

I must have missed out on your explanation. But why did you choose to do the 28 km instead of the 50 km run ? You're pretty much an ultra guy, usually. Any way, thanks for the video. Awesome as usual.

I know that you don’t plan to go into detail on your training, but for people like me that like context if you could cover a point or two about what you hope to get out of the training that would be great. For example, “running this race to get some vert at a tempo or easy pace, or using this race as my long run”. I’m just looking for context of where the runs fit in your training without you spending too much time on that aspect. Anyway, just feedback on my personal preference. Great video!

Never understand the people that run long races without water or even a running belt for gels. Are they trying to prove something to everyone else? Very nice trail and nice job.
