I remember this crossing having incandescent lights when you filmed an Amtrak going through it about a decade ago, lol And I also have a crossing near me with double stacked lights that’s on a CSX shoreline, as well !

@@skyman2002curious, what is the meaning of double stacked lights and why only on 1 side? Is it a visual thing? I think they are awesome looking

@@skyman2002it would have helped if I watched the video first before asking the question...lol... So that's a steep hill hence the double stack. That's actually a great idea, first time I've ever seen that

What is the reason for the double stacked lights? I can’t see a reason for them

It's for sight distance, when you come over the hill, you can see the lights flashing before you see the train, because the lights are taller than the box cars.

What's the track speed. Train was accelerating and seemed to be moving right along at the end

I think it's 40 mph here usually. Going north, they're usually doing about 20, or 25 because There is a Very big hill trains have to come up going north.
