Hi from Japan. The Duplex trains are very impressive! I want to sit in the upstairs seat and travel around France someday. In Japan, we no longer see the double-decker Shinkansen trains running. They were retired last year because their maximum speed was too slow(240km/h) :(

I feel like Japan is leaning towards the capacity side. The faster 12-car E7 series (270km/h effective 18 March) can carry up to 934 pax. They replace the 16-car double deck trains which carried 1,634 passengers. TGV + relatives are generally faster but the Shinkansen tends to lean towards capacity.

@@jmstransit Japan trains are wider than European ones. They can have 3+ 3 seats configuration which is impossible here. The newer double decker TGV will be able to carry 1500 passengers.

High speed track, (LGV in french HSL in english).But he can ride on regular track but with a lower speed

Jolis trains. C'est là qu'on se rend compte de la disparition des rames TGV Bleues, seulement une rame dans toute la vidéo est bleue, et ce n'est même pas une Réseau Tricourant. En fait, à part les rames Atlantique qui sont en cours de radiation en ce moment même, quasiment toutes les rames sont Carmillon... Je me rappellerai toujours de tes anciennes vidéos quand il y avait encore des TGV PSE dans le Sud-est... Ils sont tous dans le Nord maintenant... Sinon, sympa l'AVE (qui fait le bruit d'un Eurostar e300), et assez étonnant en cette pandémie. En revanche, aucun Lyria? Les deux trains au ralenti sont-elles en train de sortir d'une gare?

Oui, plus que des InOui là... pas de Lydia car il n’y a pas le Marseille Genève... supprimer a cause du Covid. Les deux TGV aux ralentis arrivaient à Valence

blue-grey TGV are sadly being refurbished into tgv carmillon. There is only one tgv blue-grey left

Yes, 320 kph, but this video was taken at the LGV Méditerranée (from Lyon to Marseille), not the LGV Nord (which is limited to 300 kph btw) which sees a lot of Thalys and Eurostar.

300 km/h is the commercial speed for Paris Bruxelles, but the line was designed and built to support 350.

Au dessus d'une certaine vitesse, l'énergie nessécaire pour la traction est trop élevée pour être rentable, en plus il y a un problème de frottement sur les caténaires et une usure rapide du matériel.

That's a brilliant Idea to have 340 kph Supertrain city or large town limit cause if a non wise person is crossing or walking the tracks they have time to run across the tracks or move out of the way but at a ridiculous speed of 560 kph the Supertrain would appear so quickly from far away it would be like a flash & there's no way could move out of the way on time..it would over before you could react to move😯😱☠..You might have a chance a night cause you could see the Supertrain light but you would still need lightning⚡ reflexes
