@@ZS1736 The Acela is nothing. Its a fast train yes, but the train tracks in the US are poor and not capable for speeds up to 186 mph / 300 km/h.

Australia is bigger than France. It’s the size of the moon, buddy! Personally I think the Aussies need Elon Musk’s hyper loom transportation system. You’ll be able to travel from Perth to Bondi or Sydney in 5 minutes.

I miss riding on the Thalys. I live in the Pacific Northwest where there is no high speed rail whatsoever. We need it so bad but every transportation project in North America costs like triple the price of everywhere else. That's why nothing is being built.

USA don't have the railroad system like here in Europe. It would be a trillion costing project to replace the tracks and the infrastructure like ERTMS/ETCS, 25Kv overhead lines etc. And with a idiot of a president in the Whitehouse which want an expensive Wall on the Mexican border, or spending money in NASA airspace bullshit etc. In other words, throwing money for useless things instead of making infrastructure more sustainable, such as electrifying railway lines and converting them into high-speed lines etc. Very a shame, because America is very large and extremely suitable for high-speed lines. America is more a third world country, even China has many high-speed lines, and Russia is building high-speed lines.

I rode it in 1984--the word "breathtaking" is a cliche, but it was. Human beings can do some things very well. I wonder if Congress has seen little films like this? If I were a rep or Senator in Wyoming or Texas, I'd say, "Man, we got to have one of those!" We used to have the largest rail network on Earth and it was dismantled by the car basically. I hope we will return someday to those networks. I haven;t had a car in 8 years out of respect for climate change. It's fun to walk/bike/bus/light rail everywhere. Time consuming, but I just read a lot. Thanks for this.

Amazing videos! I LOVE THE EUROSTAR MOST! In July I went on it from Paris to London ( he actually did 334 km/hr) - then from London to Brussels - excellent ride! Just London passport control n customs wer e extremely under pressure! We had to show vaccination pass as well. All were a bit flabbergasted! Now on the 21/9 going all by ICE via Munich n Frankfurt to Brussels! Then from there the next day at 10.05 to London St Pancras! Question on U all: according to my railplanner this train no 9119 does not stop at Lille but nonstop all the way to London?!! Is that possible?? Thank U again! Wilfried Lechner from Bregenz at the Lake of Constance - Austria! Bless you all!

there are no traction motors here, but all the electrical equipment of the train.

Is it difficult to access these locations? I know LGV's are often built in the middle of nowhere, and what with with France being such a large country-by European standards-does it take a while to reach them?

It is not difficult if you have a car! The places seen in this video are within 100 km from Paris.

The reason is bends and conditions of the track

Le tgv un nouveau style de compresser l'espace dans dans le temps..j'imagine la compression de l'espace que fera un train à + 615 km/h, dans un espace temps de 30 heures non stop ! C'est 1/2 tour de la terre..c'est fabuleux, un trasport international mixte busness - fret serait-il alors intéressant ??
