I think the thing that impressed me the most was his attitude. Professional and respectful. Not allot of jumping around and flexing. He just goes out and wrestles full out then calmly walks off. Nice to see that on the mat.
High school sophomore with one of the most impressive gas tanks I've ever seen.
@1966grappler

Aaron Pico was the last High School kid to have a gas tank like this kid. These young guys have so much experience and you see them at all the big camps and great coaching. These two guy's Bassett and Blaze are not the only young guy's coming up and America's future looks extremely bright

Big shout outs to both Bo & Blaze for stepping up and taking it to these D1 guys. There’s a lot of strong feelings going around on whether HS kids should be wrestling D1 guys. Bo proves the answer is a resounding yes. When ur rolling up everyone in HS, this is what real competitors and champs do. We let NCAA guys wrestle at the World level right? These kids are so damn talented and it could stunt their growth or potentially create burnout if they’re not getting tested regularly. Keep dominating Bo and don’t let the haters try to hold you down brother.🙏🏼

@@kohei9157 I’m with you 100%. He’s playing the system for sure. But as long as that system in place for athletes to take advantage of, it will continue to happen. Bassett is gonna be The Eater of World’s by the time he wrestles college. Imagine what Cael Sanderson could do with this kid.
That Gas Tank and being relentless, on top of being calm collected and just having fun. Good for him...
Bassett is wrestling like he’s not tired and as strong as some of the college kids which is nuts. In my opinion in the semi finals and finals he was losing and kept going at his insane pace and basically out worked his opponents. He seems to have no quit in him, and not a ton of weaknesses. This is very impressive, but I’m more impressed how bad he made these college kids look, literally out conditioning them.

Bo is ridiculous, never stops going forward and has an amazing motor. Beating Vinny after being down big was pretty fun to watch.
That achievement is absolutely amazing. Kudos to Bo for his incredible talent and hard work he puts into the sport of wrestling.
He has that gift where is a step ahead, a thought ahead. More than that his fitness is clearly better than everyone he faced.
26:33 this was actually funny ash. Bro got pancaked twice back to back.
That semis match was a thing of beauty. Good stuff man
Bo and Blaze making their way to history at such an early age.
Snap…he put such a whoop on that first guy. And that final was incredible. Great composure. So rare to see a match at that level get so turned around. Awesome.
Way to look bo.... keep up the grind, and never give up
This boy is the future of wrestling.
Congrats for Bo

The first kid he beat is tk Davis from rockmart ga, state champ, number of accolades, took mizzou commit and super 32 finalist Jake crapps into double overtime. It’s been obvious to me (and everyone else) Bo is on another level but it really hit me different when I see him wrestle kids i know and that I know are good, and he goes out and dominates them
Incredible!

He is amazing
the level of training that kids are getting these days at an early age is making the gap between high school and college a slim margin if not no difference. Kids are staring at age 3 and getting world class training from then on.

Stay humble Bo. Don’t take the NIL contract too early and feel satisfied. Wrestle for that inner pride of southwest PA and young guns.
That’s insane
Dam that's impressive for a high school sophomore!
May have been mentioned already. The quarterfinal match's first period was 4 minutes long - from 10:35 to 14:35 timestamp. Probably seemed longer than that for Johnson. Let me know if I got that right. timer stuck on 1:11
If Bo were in college now, I could see him placing as high as 4th (don't quite see him beating Nagao, but I could see wins over Orine and Latona, for examples).
Rumor has it immediately after his finals match, the young wrestler ran home 152 miles without stopping and without breaking a sweat. 😄 Bo knows cardio 👕 Start printing them.
Its his gas tank. He never stops coming
That's good wrestling.

Bo also wrestled the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial, A D2 tournament and teched all five guys in the FIRST period. How does this happen? I wrestled in middle school and high school in the 90's and it was unheard of high school guys beating D1 guys. Nowadays, we have high school guys beating former D1 national or current national champs. I don't know how this is humanly possible.

At issue with HS age individuals going against college age athletes is the physical maturity that a college age male will have over a HS age male. This maturity could easily result in a serious injury to the HS age athlete. There are always the rare exceptions but in general this may not be a great idea.
Somebody tell me why bo still pulls his singlet down on his legs😩
