I think the thing that impressed me the most was his attitude. Professional and respectful. Not allot of jumping around and flexing. He just goes out and wrestles full out then calmly walks off. Nice to see that on the mat.

Aaron Pico was the last High School kid to have a gas tank like this kid. These young guys have so much experience and you see them at all the big camps and great coaching. These two guy's Bassett and Blaze are not the only young guy's coming up and America's future looks extremely bright

Big shout outs to both Bo & Blaze for stepping up and taking it to these D1 guys. There’s a lot of strong feelings going around on whether HS kids should be wrestling D1 guys. Bo proves the answer is a resounding yes. When ur rolling up everyone in HS, this is what real competitors and champs do. We let NCAA guys wrestle at the World level right? These kids are so damn talented and it could stunt their growth or potentially create burnout if they’re not getting tested regularly. Keep dominating Bo and don’t let the haters try to hold you down brother.🙏🏼

@@kohei9157 I’m with you 100%. He’s playing the system for sure. But as long as that system in place for athletes to take advantage of, it will continue to happen. Still impressive wrestling either way and you got to give it up to the kid. Jumping all those weights from last year and to look even better is really impressive. 🙏🏼

Bassett is wrestling like he’s not tired and as strong as some of the college kids which is nuts. In my opinion in the semi finals and finals he was losing and kept going at his insane pace and basically out worked his opponents. He seems to have no quit in him, and not a ton of weaknesses. This is very impressive, but I’m more impressed how bad he made these college kids look, literally out conditioning them.

I wrestled in middle school and high school in the 90's and it was unheard of high school guys beating D1 guys. Nowadays, we have high school guys beating former D1 national or current national champs. I don't know how this is humanly possible.

At issue with HS age individuals going against college age athletes is the physical maturity that a college age male will have over a HS age male. This maturity could easily result in a serious injury to the HS age athlete. There are always the rare exceptions but in general this may not be a great idea.
