Zapeda is a savage. The kid works hard in the wrestling room. I take my kid to DC gym and always get the pleasure to see great wrestlers like Daniel Zapeda practice

I remember when I went to state back in 1996 it's so cool how they dim the lights an light the mat all up what an awsome experience

Would've love to see the freshmen at 132 win it. Kid was a dog the entire match. Kept pushing the pace with his offense. I see big things coming for him as long as he doesn't let that loss deter him.

1:14:30 The ref was spot on here - while hands were locked around the body, the defensive wrestler was in near-fall criteria (making it legal) and they also went out of bounds. Good no-call.

Hey man I respect the hell out of you DJ and Cole. I’m bringing a few kids up to Va Beach next month for nationals. But I’ve been trying to preach fitness and nutrition. Would there be any way I could bring them by and maybe you lite a little fire under them and inspire them. They’ve finished top 5 in ga team wise and are ready to step their game up and quit getting beat by the same 3 teams. Hence coming to nationals plus some other things this offseason. Yeah im thinking 7-2 bassett..bassett wasnt really up to weight last time zepeda deff had size advantage but now bo settled in at 138 and the better wrestler so should deff get the win next time...zepeda not bad he deff good but I think bassett deff the better wrestler,will be fun match to watch for sure

@@kraz5204 While the hands are locked around the body, he granbys straight into "high bridge" back exposure (nearfall criteria 4). Rule 7-3-3 is specific that if they go straight into nearfall criteria (which is what happened), no violation has occurred. When they roll through, he'd have to let go, but they're already well out of bounds at that point.

Hate the 132 lb result. Fell like the better wrestler lost. That illegal takedown was rough. Do think he should have chosen bottom instead of neutral too
