harekaze is a kagero class destroyer 127mm's 5 inch guns mushashi is toting 460mm or 18.1 inch guns so what 15 inch battleship you on about here??

@@raxsavvage He can't even be talking about the Hiei or Admiral Graf Spee in this series, as they haf 14 and 11 inch guns respectively. However, a gun you would like to fire would be the Schwerer Gustav, 80 cm or about 31 inches of destructive goodness.

+Alice, Well...they were together the entire war already...so, um...there's that. Patton was right, we should have stopped fighting the Germans and joined them against Russia while we had the assets in country to do it. There would have been no cold war.

American troops and the german army did fight together at the end of the war a wermacht commander or general surrendered to the us troops and that german officer told a us officer that we need to fight side by side because they need to defeat the waffen s.s. the battle of castle itter you can search it if you want

Honestly surprised the Graf Spee crew didn’t just scuttle the ship when a severely weaker enemy ship got a little too close to them....

Its the 5th of May 1945, Battle of Castle Itter, American and German Joining protecting the French VIP's and releasing Prisoners free, Gangl and Lee, Tank called Jenny is defending at the Gates and Gangl trying to execute or protecting that one French VIP but he got killed by a german sniper After a long Hours of fight Lee Told that one French VIP to call a Tank reinforcements and then after it arrived german SS troops retreated and then the Battle ends one of the most Strangest Battle American and German fighting together. @@ultra_axe7812 I expect that she is well trained in her job and that she also has the ability to improvise. I think she showed that rather well in the series. Doesn't mean, however, that they have a lot of common sense. I mean, just look at some of the maneuvers Rommel pulled. Any sane commander would not have tried what he did at times.

@@johnfitzgerald7339 And pretty much all "wins" of that destroyers were related to enemy crews being in half-intelligent zombie like status, and pulling tricks to avoid getting shot. The anime is actually pretty good at internal consistency except we don't see much of the mentioned automation.

@@PaweLasek I think the only time we ever see the automation is when shells are being loaded. We see what looks like a revolving ammo rack and then a round being loaded into the breech by what looks to be a mechanical ram. I'd guess that's the show's interpretation of an autoloader, and it would make sense for loading to be one of the roles taken over by automation as it isn't exactly the safest job on the ship.

I've watched this anime twice thoroughly just imagine if these girls could see our Earth war every day old warships as museums airplanes and helicopters (and one of the episodes 1 the bridge crew asked if there was a possible way to fly without the use of hydrogen or helium and mashiro(deputy captain) said only in your dreams)

When the Yamato class battleships were being funded, the Japanese Diet of that time used the Kagero class DDs as cover: they reported officialy that they wer building additional Kageros, but in reality, they were building the 4 Yamatos (it ended up with only two completions, one conversion and one cancelation). Now had those bogus Kageros were built, the Harekaze (Summer Wind in Japanese)name would have been assigned to one of them.

They are high school students And yeah about ship main battery is having auto loader system So no one of them reloading the shell

@@KevinMikeS Yep, even the old twin gun turrets were augmented to have autoloaders in the anime. The loaders for torpedoes are automated as well (it's kagero class, it actually had reloads in real life).

If your questioning whether or not this happened, yes it did. Its Battle for Castle Itter. The castle had operated as a prison facility for high profile Nazi prisoners. In a nut shell the prisoners revolted, forcing the SS out. However they were still surrounded and knew the Nazi's would be back with reinforcements. One of the prisoner's volunteered to sneak out past enemy lines to get help and made contact with a troop of German soldiers who had defected and was fighting for the Austrian resistance. Together with an american detachment, whom the Germans met that day, agreed to help and broke through the SS lines to reenter caste and together with the prisoners, fight off the SS troops until allied reinforcements arrived.

Just go world of warships. Overall feels better, if you stay on course you can easily get a tier 6 ship in a month or two that is the top of that nation's line in WT.

Calamatias it’s because the Japanese destroyer committed mutiny when they fired their only torpedo at the leader ship for naval exercises when the leader ship fired at them for being almost 4 hours late to the naval exercises due to them making a wrong navigational error on their compass (watch the series. It’ll make sense if you what it.)

The Deutschland class was classed as panzerschiff, or armored ships, although not sure if they had to much armor, they were later reclassified as heavy cruisers

still, the music is about fighting at the "itter" castle or whatever the place is called. in the meantime, wolfpack is about a convoy of SHIPS that gets destroyed by the german submarines :P so i'm still sticking with the idea of wolfpack being more for the video than "the last battle" ^^

Not exactly Girls und Panzer, as the story doesn't revolve around competitive matches between different ship teams, but rather something going wrong during a training exercise.

@@vtr0104 It's essentially an officer training program, and the normally correct assumption is that the proper forces can contain them if they run rogue. There's a point early on where live ammo has to be unlocked through agreement of multiple officers. The weakest bit in logic is the infection that kick starts the whole plot, but it makes more sense than zombie flicks... :)

Yeap but Bismarck is a unic ship so it will be hard to explain how they get it + Japans will strongly hate this anime if there were Bismarck and no Yamato. And again, realism. Battleships were like a big cities on the water, so how can a small crew of 10+ schoolgirls run the city?
