High risk motorcades pass protesters during large security operation in New York 🚓

The motorcades for the Prime Minister of Israel, and President of Iraq, pass by groups of protesters. Many motorcades were passing through or by a large security checkpoint at 42nd and 2nd Avenue during United Nations week in New York City. The US Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Service, US Marshals, New York Police Department, UN Security Officers and several other agencies were present at the checkpoint maintaining security and guiding VIP motorcades. Dump trucks created a roadblock to stop attacks.
Protesters had gathered to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu of Israel's leadership, and the wider issue with Israel and Palestine. There were several different groups of protesters in the area at the time. NYPD with Secret Service and other federal agents held a line, and shut down traffic, when Prime Minister Netenyahu's motorcade exited at 16:54 in the video.

We'll start police on mountain bikes, then work our way up to the motorbikes, then after that there are the Little Tikes smart car, then Chargers, Sprinters, omni-buses, helicopters, boats, etc. Did I miss anything? 🤣

Wow! Incredible work by NYPD and USSS... never have i seen motorcades passing motorcades, turning in front of other motorcades, 2 separate motorcades going opposite directions on the "wrong side" of the road lol Given all the everyday traffic they are having to deal with...i guess these are more "police escorts" instead of "motorcades" bc motorcades don't stop. But with this many VIPs in one place at the same time... it's "organized chaos ". I don't know how the officers on the streets directing traffic know where to guide each motorcade😅 . USSS & NYPD deserve a week off bc they worked their butts off around the clock this week!!! And.... everyone was kept safe and they met their 100% success goal bc there were no incidents!

I was just on the Upper West Side about two hours ago and I walked past a street (64th and Broadway) that was closed off (to cars, there was a police car blocking the street and barricades along the sidewalk but I think the sidewalk was still open) and I saw a long motorcade of several black SUVs with flashing lights, some vans, and several police escort cars! Do you know who's motorcade that might've been?

Not sure but that sounds high risk. Around the hotels where high risk VIPs are staying, they have the street barricaded. So a world leader / head of state for sure.

Get yourself a VX radio with p25 and encryption capabilities…I went into the city (thru the Lincoln) not knowing it was the UN meeting or protests. Luckily I had my radio and was able to avoid the roads that were assigned as “staging areas”

I feel like its a bad idea to have a lane open parallel to the convoy, one of those vehcs could be armed with a shaped charge I.E.D. or any other assortment of weaponry.
Did you happen to see any NY courts or NY taxi and limousine commission cars? They have specific departments/marked cars just for that which is interesting! Edit: i meant police departments.

Some agencies ignore that law and get away with it. Some are federal (why they don't have US Gov plates beats me), others may be agencies like Port Authority, MTA Police, etc that are NYS (and NJ in the case of Port Authority) agencies that just don't follow the blue light law.
