@@Leandro7470nah when I was in school teachers used these jobs as a boogyman for why you need to go to College. One of the main take-aways from my education growing up was that labor jobs are less respected than sitting behind a desk. It's one of the main reasons we have shortages in many trade jobs, and other sectors. Educators actively warded kids away from these jobs telling them they were below them and they should avoid them since they were the "bottom of the barrel" so to speak. Shit I had a teacher say to me "you don't want to be average do you? Some Truck driver or a mechanic? Focus and get yourself a degree!" Later in College I realized those two jobs are actually extremely important for the day to day living of American citizens. If the Trucks stop we starve. In most cases if you're working a trade or in general not a traditional office job you more than likely have more raw value to society than anyone in that office building for Proctor and Gamble. Hell without cashiers in stores people fall apart. A large chunk of society can't deal without someone holding their hand through a purchase.

@@rocnloretta that full circle comes rolled up and bolted in a box. (Many different sizes) Once you take it out, you take the bolts off and the full circle can now be pulled open (the rubber essentially wraps around the pipe when put on) clean the area of pipe it's going to be put on (they didn't show that in this clip...lol...sometimes it can suck, especially galvanized pipe) open and wrap the full circle on the pipe near the leak but not over it yet. Once on put your long bolts through the provided clamp holes and put the nuts on loosely so the clamp can still slide back and forth. At this point it won't come off the pipe unless bolts/nuts are taken off. (It can slide back and forth or be turned for bolt placement to your convenience) now the fun part, slide it over the leak, sometimes an old hole for a tap or even a crack, and tighten the sh*t out of the bolts. Make sure there are no leaks. Now the parts you see on this full circle in this video is a valve already in the full circle (most likely they have to tie it in to a building/house where one already existed. The water line/valve most likely got damaged or pulled out of that tap while they were working in that area. This is best I can describe by typing...lol.

The people that get in the dirt, the sewers, the trash, make sure we have electricity and gas, these invisible workers who never get public awards or asked to give speeches about their invaluable careers. I'm a plumber in Chicago who's done basically this same job in the middle of January when it was -10°F. This comment section has restored a little faith in humanity and made me a little more thankful I chose this profession. Most people don't even think about those pipes underground, and it shows when you tell people you're a plumber and they assume you're playing with poop all day and installing toilets. We get dirty, we bust our backs, and we keep clean drinking water in your homes for you and your children. So thank you to everyone who sees us 😁 The plumber protects the health of the nation 💪
