If you play the "press the button stop the baby from going into the fire" game in the stanley parable for 4 hours, the game changes to add a puppy into the game so you have to press two buttons instead. If you play that for another 4 hours, then you get an ending where you gain access to gamer heaven after you die.

Fun Fact - WR for the Low% category of Twilight Princess (Low% means the game is beaten with the lowest possible amount of item pickups) is currently forcing Link to spend ~17h watching a floating Rupee, the whole run is 25h, and the longest unbroken idle time is around 12h. It's because Link has one frame of animation missing from his idle animation when picking up items, and moves ever slightly every cycle of the loop, and speedrunners are using this to clip through the walls but it takes 2.5h to pass through a normal wall, and 12h for the biggest skip in the game.

I was expecting the game devs to put some kind of achievment or a rare item or some sort for waiting an entire hour doing nothing but that's the most "fuck you" move they could've done and I love it xD

There's also a window of opportunity earlier in the game to snipe him out of his wheelchair and bypass the fight entirely. Metal Gear Solid 3 is kinda nuts. Phantom Pain has a lot of moments like this too, but with 3 there's always some crazy secret, or hilarious codec conversation, or surprising gameplay mechanics that you never knew was there. It's extensive. The two best in the series are MGS3 and MGSV because of stuff like this.

I have an old xbox one that runs like shit and managed to get the tv to despawn. Yeah, there's nothing back there.

Same, not sure if it's the hardware struggling but a lot of things seem to load "oddly". Pretty sure it's not intended but I got a luglox in the town by swinging from one of the hookbugs in front of the pawn shop. Dashing/hovering closer to the hookbug directly in front of the tall glass building and swung myself directly at the building. It clipped me through the window where inside there was enough stable terrain to get to a luglox that was probably intended for a later point in the game, lol.

I killed the first boss and her replacement. Congested me for a secret boss fight, I guess?

Imagine leaving the game on for a week in real time and a guy actually comes to fix it.

This is a very meaningful place in the game, its about the desperation and tedium of endlessly confronting modern life, but of course, the message of this scene only becomes clear after playing it for an hour ...

Once I got used to him as Nick Valentine I have been able to recognize this voice actors signature in each of his roles

After completing the game, if you go back to this spot the door is open and its just an empty space behind it. I was hoping it was something cool but nope, just an empty room lol

In The Darkness series cant remeber if it was 1 or 2 or both, you can sit on the couch and watch an entire movie with your girlfriend.

if you come back here later, the tv screen is gone, and there's an empty, low-res room behind it that you're clearly not meant to see. nothing happens if you wait a week, either.

You can do as told and wait for a little while in the first mission in Far Cry 4. If you do so you complete the game and get the credits.

The real question is, does the door repair guy actually show up if you wait for a week?

Would've been a lot funnier if they didn't continue to go "You're waiting an hour? WOw what the hell? An hour? We're not doing this!" It's the reason why people loved the Far Cry 4 secret waiting ending. It was just something someone decided to try, it wasn't basically explained to the player that something will happen if you wait.

Fun fact, it'd be water not food you'd be needing to last out that week. Your body can handle anywhere between 2-5 weeks without food but only about a week without water. Also you'd probably go insane from hunger/ thirst before you hit any of those limits.

I actually painted a 3D printed model I made when waiting the hour so when he was talking shit I was laughing hysterically.

Was tempted to actually wait the full hour, but I had stuff to do. Glad to know there's no achievement for this and that there's a joke involved.

I'm just getting into this game and so far it's pretty good I love it

I actually waited for a week after that and all I can say it was definitely worth it

This game would have been good without the droning, repetitive, painfully unfunny dialogue. Shame it has so many good names attached to it.

I've gone back to this area after beating the game and the TV door was opened, but sadly the room past the door has nothing in it

i accidentally found a speed run where i skip the g3 training and this part and cut straight to the arena kinda ruined the mission
