High-Intensity SEAL Training from SEALFIT Founder Mark Divine

Watch this video and get familiar with the form of the strict dead hang pull-up, the Navy SEAL push-up, and the air squat. The form is important to get right before you launch into the workout at a high intensity. Seek accurate performance of the form first, then consistent accuracy, and then intensity. The workout is to do as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) in 20 minutes of:
5x Pull-up
10x Push-up
15x Air Squat
Beginners should target 10 rounds, intermediate athletes 15, and advanced athletes 20+ rounds. Good luck - train hard and have fun. Hooyah!
Commander Divine is the founder of SEALFIT. He is the author of the New York Times Bestseller 8 Weeks to SEALFIT

This workout is one I usually do on a weekly basis on an active rest day. I also throw on a 20 lbs vest to amp it up a bit at times.

1:23 lat pull downs help until you can finally do a pull up, and a fasting diet. 3:23 I like how you break parallel, I’ve been doing air squats for like 10 years now, but I’ve never really thought about breaking parallel, unless I really wanted to go as low as I can go, and I’ve done that before like a dozen times. 5:00 so, I’ve also been doing this exercise for about 10 years now I learned it from some seal video, however, he added sit ups. I gave it the notorious name the fantastic four. I noticed someone came out with a simple six I thought that was funny.

Hi Mr. Divine, Thanks for your video! I have a set of questions, if you have the time: 1) Why the squat, as opposed to the curl-up, which is on the PST? 2) In my training I was told *never* to break the parallel plane while squatting -- why do you suggest it? Is it just because he's not using weights? 3) Do you know if the overhand pull-up is the only acceptable grip on the PST, or would neutral/underhand be acceptable? Thanks!

@@aneecha66 Not garbage at all, far from it. But I do think the form could be better. On the pull-ups, maybe a slower pace and more focus on contraction of the core and scapula retraction at the start of the movement. On the push-ups, really engaging your core should help eliminate the anterior pelvic tilt, which is quite prominent in this video. Hope this helps.
