High Hood Classic on the Shenandoah Valley Railroad [4K]

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

After a highly successful weekend chasing the Queen of Steam, we’d go on to visit one of Virginia’s most unique shortlines: The Shenandoah Valley Railroad!
Follow along as we witness the Shenandoah Valley Railroad operating through the namesake valley, capturing their incredible roster of 1st generation locomotives in active revenue service!
Special thanks to my friend ‪@SCL3618‬ for joining me trackside throughout this trip! Go check out his channel for some awesome (and chaotic) model railroad content!
Thanks for watching! Follow Rail Tennessee for more high quality railroad content, whether it be the high iron or the jointed rail!

Nice Job Sam The legend veteran gp9 is still riding the rails on the Shenandoah Valley with the ALCO RS11 another gp9 and the Western Maryland EMD SD40 7471 how really cool to see the veteran locomotives still in service to keep on riding and shining the rails in the Virginia Mountains it is awesome. Hey Bro CSX is riding on the rails on the historical Clinchfield RR from Shelby KY to Kingsport Tn on its 81st year Next Saturday November 18th The 81st Aunnal CSX Santa Train is riding the rails on the Clinchfield RR from Kentucky to Tennessee in the Tri-Cities Region on its 110 mile journey from tunnels, bridges, and the most ironic railroad bridge the 1,068 ft long Copper Creek Vicduct right at highway 23 in Gate City VA it's about five miles from my house everyone likes to see the train crossing the bridge at Copper Creek right at the Clinch River And it will arrive at the Clinchfield Depot at Broad Street in Downtown Kingsport TN to finish it's journey from Kentucky Next Week November 18th 81st Aunnal CSX Santa Train

I love to see those 70+ year old locomotives out performing this new stuff that's on the rails! And that horn is awesome! Where csx would probably have 3 loco's do this job, this here lone vintage geep is doin' just fine!

As a pretty big fan of the B&O, it always makes me happy to see B&O power still earning its keep, and still proudly wearing the Iconic lettering.

I really don't know why you don't have more subs. Your videos are almost as good as Danny Harmon's, but he works for broadcast TV in Tampa, FL so he has a bit of an advantage. It's great you're bringing short line railroads to us on the Tube, thanks! I think when the YT gods smile their algorithms on you, you'll get a lot more subs.

One of the saddest mergers, collapses, mismanagement. take-overs, whatever you want to call it, that destroyed the B&O is IMHO, the worst event in all the railroad history of this country. The oldest, most important and arguably one of the most innovative of all railroads should not have met it's slow and painful demise the way it did. There are many fallen flags that could fit into that group of course, but the B&O stands out at just how serious the takedown of railroads in general were during the post war era. It's nice to see 6512 working. I bet she's a hoot to drive. We need shortlines now more than ever. Bless em!! Cool video!!

Hi! Thanks for watching and sharing your unique opinion with us. If you want to watch videos without any narration, there might be thousands of railfan channels for that… so I’d suggest you do some scrolling elsewhere. Sorry to hear you don’t like my narration! Thanks for commenting. 🙂
