I have both of these headphones. I love the HD 600, it’s probably the most natural, neutral sounding one I have. But, keeping it real, the Ananda is an incredible headphone, it is definitely a Wow headphone.

I'm considering buying Ananda as my second headphone for music listening. I do have 6xx and I really like them. 700 euros is a lot, but I can manage with some months of saving. Is it worth it? I listen to various genres of music, with a little enfasis on orchestral (and psytrance, but I prefer speakers for that). Will I be satisfied? I'm looking for every king of recommendation :D

Your confused about what actual neutral is. I own two 600's, yes an orig. 97. The ANANDA leaves it in the dust. What gear are you using? Something as old as the Senn?

I keep watching your videos looking for an HD600 upgrade as that's what I have and love. Finally, I just realized. Why upgrade when I love it so much? Why not complement it? That's what I'm going to do. I think this Ananda will be a great complement. When I want more treble detail and bass extension - which I do, sometimes. However most of the time I love kicking back and falling asleep litening to the subtle details of the hd600. People forget with more bass comes more fatigue. The lack of subbass and subtle midbass hump with soft, but detailed treble = no fatigue. Ever. At least to my ears :)

This right here ^ That's the answer. There is no definitive "jack-of-all-trades" in this game, but you can have 2 to 3 HPs in your arsenal that will do it all.

Mmm, in my experience I really didn't miss the sub-bass extension simply because I had not been exposed to better sub-bass until sometime after getting the HD600. For my music tastes, you can mostly live without it if the HD600 is only a part of your collection.

@@chuckolatte600 If you love the HD 600 try the new edition (the one with the new design) made in 2021. They are superior to the previous one (silver driver with blue marble headband) the one you have. More resolution, clearer sound, deeper and fastest bass and they look way better. I own both even with new pads on the previous edition the current one are an improvement. Same story regarding the new HD 650 compare to the previous one.

The 600 have non soundstage and very short bass decay. That alone is their downside as to Ananda peaky treble. So i dont think 600 has no flaw. I own a 600 too. I have to change the pads else is too dull and dry for my taste.
