absolutely I was a huge fan of horus back in 06

I remember running a pure Horus deck when Soul of the Duelist came out, also ran it with both Heratics and Ninjas when they came out to test em. I'm convinced theres a way to make Horus viable again. I just gotta figure out what engine to use with it. Currently testing a Dragon-Link build but it's really slow going.

I played this deck YEARS AGO and boy was it so much fun. Probably favorite dragon deck since it was jus so explosive with so many plays

I really just want to see this deck in action, im making it right now on duel nexus just so i can see how this funky as all hell looking deck actually works out, so im wondering how you manage to make it work out, as im not the best duelist myself

that is exactly whati was looking for, however aafter testing it out i took out one lv4 andi added more setable cards. i draw a monster too often. But great build thank you ! you make great content

I just got the cards for this deck. I love the flavor. Tzolkin is so cool looking and when I stopped playing Yugioh back in the day SOUL of the DUELIST was like the last set I remember cards from id guess.

It has to be claw of hermos. So many people sleep on it and i love that you showed it off.

Built the deck on edopro and... it seems pretty inconsistent. That's not super surprising though. Hieratics are inconsistent by nature. The Claw of Hermos + Black Dragon Sword work really well with the lower level Horuses, since it boosts their attack high enough to actually get battle kills and level up off of their own effect, but it's still not optimal because you then lose the equipped Black Dragon Sword. Not sold on the Horus set as a whole, but especially not Lv4. Highly recommend Celestial Observatory. This card is practically made for Hieratics and is a HUGE help. I also refuse to play Hieratics without Genex Ally Birdman. The card is simply too good. Atum brings out REDMD, REDMD brings out your choice of dragon, Birdman bounces REDMD, Banish Atum for REDMD, etc etc. and end with Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon from Birdman + Wattail (among a bunch of other cards on the field). I give you points for the spiciness of the deck though.

It’s pretty good, but there’s a few things I’d change: 1. Scrap Claw + REBDS. It’s never really worked for me. 2. Cut back on Horus. LV4 isn’t needed, LV6 I personally run at just 1 but 2 could work, and 1 LV8 cos they’re a dead draw. 3. Take out Wattaildragon. If I need Rank 6s then Labradorite Dragon will work just as well, Wattail is just a dead draw. 4. Take out Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon and replace it with 2 Blue Eyes. Way more useful Level 8 Dragon. Dragard can revive HSOTSD, but if you’re summoning Dragard, it’s probably with the intention of tributing a Hieratic to bring his level to 8, so this doesn’t matter, plus Blue Eyes makes a better target for REDMD. 5. Like said below, Celestial Observatory is a must. 6. This is a minor one, but I like to run a copy of Star Blast, mainly to get around the fact that you can have the issue of having too many high level monsters, but you can also use it to level down REDMD if he’s been summoned by Hieratic Dragon King, then target a Blue Eyes and get a Rank 8.

Interesting deck. I really miss Horus and Armed Dragon. Seems like Konami forgot about level monsters. Two questions: 1. Do you really need Horus level 4? Level up is inherently a bad card as it’s a -1 in my opinion. So if I’m gonna minus it better be for something good. How often do you fetch level 6 with Atum? Can this deck just rely on that instead of running level 4? 2. Have you tried draglubion? Card is super fun in that it can give you options like titanic galaxy or even a Numeron Dragon with 9k attack, assuming nothing gets hand trapped.

You can instead of hieratic normal sphere you can play dragon core hexer that is a normal 8 monster and tuner so you can xyz and also you can summon ultimaya

I mean it's an interesting deck, I was playing hieratic ruler assault mode I just feel it puts only one negate going first and not enough cards for going second, I mean how are you dealing with winda or a full board of negates? You need to add more combo cards to make it viable also throw in halqifibrax and the level 4 hieratic for guardragon combos gives hell of a lot more options to the deck👌

I really love the old horus black flame dragon =) sadly they make an horus archetype around other monsters and not the black flame ones but the support counts for Horus monster soo hopefully u will make an full horus the black flame dragon deck... if its possible would love if u can chare your ideas =)

I WAS THE FIRST AND HONESTLY I HAVENT WATCHED IT BUT I LOVE HORUS, and the hieratics are pretty cool too

I copied the deck and then looked at it...How do you sync lv 8?? I would recommend M7 it lets you use Red eyes effect twice 2 Trade Ins inferno reckless summon

I have been playing this deck seance 2013 and horus lv 4 isn’t good specially because you can just tribute summon LV 6, and get the hieratic effect

Horus lv6 is uneffected by spells, so I dont think level up works on him

The cost to activate Level Up (send 1 LV monster to grave) goes first so it overrides Horus LV6 effect
