Why is this deck so good even today. Tried it on dueling nexus and played about 15 games. Not even mystic mine stood a chance.

Its a cool idea but the virus cards can brick you big time unless you draw into Fang of Critieas which unfortunately isnt searchable in this deck. I prefer to run trap control with Lair of Darkness while running Viruz cards, its more consistent that way. Only problem with Lair decks is that its too reliant on its field spell and going first. If your opponant outs the field spell its almost a death sentence for this deck

Yes. Tour Guide only negates the on field effects of monsters it summons. Which is why it is a massively useful card in something like Burning Abyss, as it can summon a Burning Abyss monster and negate its effect that would cause the BA monster to destroy itself. Then after linking them off for something like Cherubini, the BA or Sangan’s effect can activate, as they are upon hitting the graveyard or leaving the field, and not on field effects.

With eternity code just around the corner, you think you could update this deck with proxy cards?

@@robertfrank9309 vector used his alchemy to create a Virus. The thing they have on them looks like vector's staff but In reality it's Phage, changing their genetic coding so they become dragons. That's why they have support cards named Infection and Lysis

TBH I feel the ties of brethren and artifact variant is the most consistent
