Please, give the live translator a BIG ROUND of applause! I've done that from English to Spanish and vice-versa and its SO HARD to pull it off as he does. And what a great interview! Thanks BAFTA!

Its too bad the only way we'll ever get anything like Death Stranding again is if Kojima makes it. No one else in the industry has the creativity and the balls to think of and release a game like this. I've been playing games for 20 years and Death Stranding is the most unique and captivating experience I've had so far. I completely understand the people who hate this game, but if anyone claims the game is objectively bad they are delusional

@BB Pod Momma loll yeahh heartman, when he gave us likes n dislikes, that pose n scene really get me laughing. For me DS still had mgs vibe, and that the reason im giving this good score, though i hate that we couldnt kill anyone on this game, i know we could but theres responsibility for what weve done. And these real life situations were implied to the game (esp gameplay), and for some people these aspects r sucks..

@Rom Vacuous Spooder i think the majority of people that didnt give it a chance, was because dumb streamers and youtubers trying to climb a steep mountain on a vehicle, ramming it a 1000 times, calling the game bad.

Well that's why it's nice he's got his own studio now, I think we'll see a good few more completely unique and fascinating games like Death Stranding down the road before he retires... If he ever retires lol

Yep. Totally not the game for everyone. But the gameplay inflicts creativity, the game has somber tone but only on the surface. It doesn’t shy away from being silly and wacky though Sorry if I sound pretentious, didn’t not how to put wright what I thought.

I've heard many times from internet either from my college teacher( but Im not really sure tho so correct me if Im wrong) that Japanese really proud and love their culture and language, so even when on the international event like this with english of course, they'll still stay with their thingi.

  • @JohnSan92

no this is because English is difficult for Japanese speakers so Kojima would rather express himself instead of stumbling on a second language he doesn't use. That way, the translator can interpret all of the details that would be lost if Kojima was using his rudimentary English skills

Many Japanese people (born and raised) are pretty bad at English because it’s poorly thought. Of course Refn’s English is better because he’s danish and danish people are really well taught in English, at least, as an Italian, I admire his accent in English even though he speaks pretty slowly

I will say it, Kojima is overrated. Death Stranding was a boring game and actually I would not place one Kojima game in my top 20 games list. And when he is always talking about the intelligence required to understand and appreciate his games, he is just so arrogant. You can have an interesting story in a game but in the end it still needs to focus in the gaming itself. Sorry for all Kojima fans but it is what it is BBBOOORRRIIINNNGGG.
