HIDE IT! Scalp Concealer for Bald Spots & Thinning Hair (Bumble & Bumble Demo)

Cover up your thinning hair and bald spots in 10 seconds flat!
You can still find this product online on Amazon but it's slowly being phased out. Check out Batiste, which you can get online or from drugstores or Target.
If you need to conceal your scalp or bald spots because you have thinning hair, this spray makes it super easy! Here's a video that shows how I use Bumble and Bumble Hair Powder to help hide my thinning hair (my lovely bald spots and wide part). I talk on my blog, cornerofhopeandmane.com/ about this product a lot, as well as all sorts of topics related to women's hair loss.
It's been a LONG time since I've used this product since I wear fake hair now, but I've had so many of my readers ask that I decided to make a video.
It definitely takes some trial and error -- I used to barely even get any of this product on my hands when I used to use it daily.
I used to get my hair dyed and add highlights and this product was the best scalp concealer to help me with my thinning hair. Now my real hair is, well, crappy. :) I don't get it done anymore since I wear helper hair, but if you check out my blog, you'll see how awesome this product worked when used under a layer of my "old" bio hair.
It easily hides your scalp (mine used to be glaring) and even helps to add some heft and texture so that your hair on top doesn't look so thin.

I hate ( with a passion ) having hair loss , it distresses me beyond belief , I use Powders and sprays to camouflage it but I KNOW it's there . I feel SO unfeminine , it's a small comfort to know I do not suffer alone 💕

We are with a lot! I dont use messy sprays but very simple water make up whitch you can buy in every color you want and is applied with a brush and some water. I leave it on untill I wash my hair. It works great! In Holland the brand is Grimas, theatre make up.

Irma, I have been there, started balding in teens, hiding in 20s and now in my thirties... If I could go back I would live my 20s to the fullest, instead of expecting the best perfect solution, use whatever best I can afford from hair powders to toppers to various hairstyles, buy good quality hair system when I can afford, and not miss any damn memory of my life. But that's that. I started living my full life in 30s and stopped hiding. Go live your life gal. Not a perfe g life, but the best that you can get. Remember - it's not the power of the curse, it's the power we give the curse.

I wear caps now but I can’t wear them in my 40s. So I’m back trying what I can to cover my hair loss. I’m even wearing my cap in my photo

Yiur hair looks a lot thicker, ery pretty. What I do with a the spray color I use to hide my thin and bald spots, is instead of spraying directly on my scalp, I spray it on a folded tissue, and right away I blot it on my scalp before it dries. It works pretty well. Ita hard to match your exact hair color, and sometimes when I spray it, it looks a lot darker.

Really helpful tutorial! I am a little over a year post partum with my 2nd child and the hair loss from my 1st pregnancy to my last has only gotten worse. I'm slowly getting some growth back in, but it's nothing compared to before I had kids (and I thought it was thin then). I'm only 27 so it's a little daunting to think of what it may look like in 10 years, but I just can't bring myself to try minoxidil products or use hair pieces. I didn't know this product existed so I'll have to check it out. Thanks for doing this video!

Not sure if you've read my story on my blog, but our stories are soooo similar! I used this religiously between my 1st and 2nd child, but after the 2nd, my hair was just DONE so I do hair pieces now. This is a fantastic product though, and really helped me hide my thinning hair for many years.

I did check out your blog, and I have to say that I agree that for the first time I've found someone that has a similar experience to mine. I obsessed for a while after my 1st child about WHY my hair was so thin, and after the 2nd basically gave into the fact that it wasn't coming back. I try to eat and live healthy, my thyroid is within normal range (I think the term "normal range" is a joke) and haven't been officially diagnosed with PCOS but have some symptoms of it. I think the years of being on BCP is what really screwed me up, and I'd get my tubes tied before I ever go back on hormonal BC again. The worst part is going to new hair stylists and having to explain to them why my hair is so thin at my age. I can only use the ol' post partum hair loss excuse for so long! Thanks again for putting your experience out there for girls like me!

It's pricey but I can't live w/o it now...I have thinning on my temple areas and was feeling pretty bummed about it because I was starting to avoid certain hairstyles because of how noticeable it was becoming. My hair looks about the same color as the girl's here, but it must be a little lighter because I use the 'little bit blondish' color, not the Brown tone & 'm super happy with the color of the blondish although i might like to compare it to the Brown but I don't want to waste the $ if it's not a good match! But ya if you have thinning ,this product will give you confidence back..I just spray mine on after the shower and kind of smudge it in and it lasts thru till my next wash pretty much. Even at the gym it holds up well although I guess I'm not using as much as some people would if they have worse thinning than me. It does feel a tad sticky and hairspray like a bit, but I honestly don't even care because it gives me the illusion of a beautiful hairline!

Your bio hair doesn't look that thin except at the front crown. i'm wondering why you wear such a full topper instead of one of the less hair toppers because after you put in the concealer your hair looks nice. Is it just that you like lots of hair to cover most of your bio hair as opposed to having to blend a thinner topper in?

This is 4 years old; its seems like a lot of work with an expensive product. I have bought one of those, and I was sick and tired of spending so much money; so I tried eyeshadow with a nice brush and that's ok...depressing of course................

Yep, it's four years old but the method still works. :) Get Batiste...they don't make the product in the video anymore, as far as I know. Batiste is very cheap.

nandini manjunath Thanks but I wouldn't recommend using castor oil daily. Maybe once a week is enough. Too much, u can end up clogging the follicles which can hamper growth

Maybe. That's what I do now, but for those just started out with dealing with hair loss, jumping straight to a wig can be overwhelming.
