On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

Inside of uncontested airspace only one of these things will bag entire columns of armor & infantry + can take on the occasional combat helo with its Igla M, but i still like the Mi-28 havoc more for its looks😅

Best one I had, though, was getting bored and parking a jeep on top of a stack of C4, blowing it up to send the jeep flying, and then getting going after a Card. During that fight, an enemy helicopter was gearing up to light me up when a flaming jeep out of nowhere came in and smoked the helo. Wound up dying and failing that job because I was laughing too hard.

    The easiest helicopter to train and the easiest to fly. Combat capabilities are sufficient for effective action. Survivability is very good due to light armor and absolute rejection of the loss of the tail. You can not even talk about the unique opportunity for helicopters to eject.

  • @VisibilityFoggy

    @VisibilityFoggy

    Interestingly, the ejection system is truly a "last resort" that WILL injure, and sometimes kill, the pilots. Russian doctrine calls for Ka-50/52 pilots to perform an autorotation like any other stricken helo, then if there is no hope, initiate the ejection.

    Flown this a lot for the DCS squadron I was a part off. With a bit of practice you can make it do seriously crazy manouvers. Just be careful what way you're turning when you do so or your rotors will collide, because, of course they will. On a positive side I remember getting my tail shot of during a mission and still being able to fly home. Sure, I had to fly sideways, but I made it.

    It was actually a little hard to watch that Blackhawk and Chinook get shot down, having spent so much time in each of them. It's too realistic.

    Having the actual frontline within driving distance and having also hundreds of thousand of refugees here in my hometown, I have a hard time cheering for GS in this video, however I used to love Kamov choppers and russian weapons in general... It's just too much now 😢

    @@janzahalka9096 the first time a saw a real Hind in flight (and being on the receiving end of a simulated attack run) I was beyond excited considering how legendary that Helicopter is. That front profile is iconic and unmistakable. It’s conflicting emotions for sure.

    We've known for the last 35 years how deadly MANPADS are to helicopters - the Soviet experience against Mujahadeen wielded Stingers in Afghanistan in the mid 1980's clearly showed how deadly a modern MANPADS is to a chopper.

    I just decided to switch to standalone and get my 50% discount as well as use one of your codes. Of course a code for BS3 comes along just after this... I took the A-10C which to be completely honest I haven't even bothered to bind the controls for, yet. The Ka-50 would have been so much better.

    Vikhr missiles can hit helicopters and planes, but there is a speed limit on the target. Meaning, it can hit them if they fly slower than certain speed, can't remember what it was...

    Would the Leopard actually die from an ATGM? There's the infamous case of the undestroyable M1 Abrams which had to be abandoned, but the Marines couldn't destroy it, not even with an Apache.
