We went to explore the capital city of Uttarakhand - Dehradun and found a beautiful place to stay at the outskirts of Dehradun and experience nature.
We stayed at Kaaya which is a self-sustained campus for rural eco-tourism, experiential learning, and community building nestled in the Himalayan Foothills on the outskirts of Dehradun (approx 30 kms).
On one hand, the idea is to engage continuously with the local families so as to move together towards restoring ecological health and sustainable livelihood practices. And on the other hand, it is to invite city dwellers to experience and understand the diverse richness of nature, and the urgent necessity of minimizing unsustainable habits and practices
