Hidden Paradise: Camiguin Island, Philippines | Island Born of Fire
We are heading to Paradise! Camiguin Island is a small island in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, and is a spectacular place to be. With its 14 volcanos covered in tropical greenery, its beautiful islands and beaches, from its spectacular waterfalls to the coral reefs, why we say: "Camiguin, Isle Be There!"
We are excited to spend a week on this beautiful island discovering every part of the island. In this video, we capture our journey from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila to the small Camiguin Airport. The only way to fly there is on Cebu Pacific from the Mactan-Cebu International Airport. Thankfully, we were able to enjoy airport lounges in both Manila and Cebu which made the travel day so much better and easier for our kids.
When we first caught sight of the incredible Camiguin Island, we were blown away instantly by the beauty. The large volcanos towering over the deep-blue ocean below create a picturesque sight. The land is so lush and full of coconut trees and the beaches and corals can easily be seen from the plane. It was exciting to fly over White Island (featured in our thumbnail) and Mantigue Island, knowing that we would be visiting both places this week. We can hardly wait for our adventures and to take you along with us. Come find out why you should come to Camiguin and then "Come Again!"

I hope you and the kids enjoy Camiguin. It is a chill place, lots of nature, not too many tourists. I have watched your videos, it is nice that you are adaptable, and can adjust to situations. I found your Coron videos to be the most interesting, staying on a private island with the bugs, the marine life, and discovering an old Spanish fort. Miguel de Cervantes (Don Quixote) said:"Travelling and sojourning among various people make men wise." Something that hopefully your kids will take away from all these trips.

Those fences in the sea are fish cages, people raise fish in each cage from fingerlings till they reach such sizes and ready to be sold, tilapia and milk fish are some of the varieties they raise.
