can I use a 2 sided LED bulb, 9007 model? My car takes that model for wiring. I'm not sure if H1 and 9007 has difference in brightness. The ones I bought are almost identical looking to yours, just a different wiring harness. Also thank you for the video!

This is great. I bet the hid companies are hating you Hahaa. Now we can put 40 dollar led bulbs in our projectors :)

Hello, i just bought this morimoto mini and use HID 55w 5000k, but the light is so bad. Bulbs are new and in good condition, my previous original projectors was in very bad contidiot and it was better. I am thinking about led? What can you recommend to buy? Here where i live there are a lot of rain! Help

Those C6 led bulbs are one of the worst. They are very cheap, they use COB chips, with a led CSP chip will be like an HID or better. Great video.

It's a standard Mini H1 projector not Morimoto

Check the listing description for the set you bought, look for “fit for H1 H2 H4” etc…..

Were you able to put the rubber seal from the headlight assembly when you installed it?

It's difficult if you have a small size headlight housing (modification needed)

How do u get the high and low working if there built for hids coz ano they got the plug on the hid wiring

No. There is an electromagnetic solenoid that opens and closes to switch between low and high beam, no matter what's the bulbs are ( halogen, hid, led).

If you have the stock h4 and convert to h1 by splitting the wires by negative and for the low beam on the correct wire. How should you wire the projector to work proprely, I mean for the high beam, on what wire should you put it? Thank you if someone reply my q

You should use a multimeter or 12v tester to determine which wire is low beam and which one is high beam ( on the h4 wire plug there is three wires one for ground one for low beam and one for high beam) then use flat male connectors to connect everything instead of splitting wires.

@@KingABS i’ve checked the wires. I connected the led bulb to ground and low beam… but.. when i connect the red wire to the high beam and the ground to ground, nothing happens.. instead, when i pull the high beam, from factory, the low beam is shutting down. But if i try to use the flash, and the + and - are connected(high beam and ground to the projector) still nothing happens.

It's normal, in this case you may need an *H4 led relay kit* it cost 10 or 15 dollars (Aliexpress Ebay or Amazon) It will solve the problem and keep everything clean and safe

Which is better led or hid?

How you wire correctly the projector to switch up to high beam and back to low beam? I put these projectors on a car that had h4 bulbs and switched to h1, some help thank you.

Bi-Xenon Projector assembly. The use a high beam splitter to actuate the solenoid for highs on the projector.

No ballast. They come with built in or external driver.

i may have missed it, how far is that wall from your light table? Also would this config eliminate the direct 12v battery constant used for the HID harness? thx

About 10 meters. Yes, the led kit is plug and play and could be wired directly to the bulb socket without wiring harness.

@@KingABS I am going to try this configuration on my first attempt at retrofitting. can any h1 led bulb to do this with minor modification? ive noticed the halogen h1 bulbs seem shorter? when installing the leds, the chip placement should be close to where the HID filament would be in order to get correct dispersion?

so in my generic mini h1's. i have a dead spot coming from under the led bulb on the reflector. i have auxito csp h1 bulbs. i guess i might try the c6's. did you have any dark spots you had to tune out?

You have to take off the HID wiring and ballasts first and use the LED bulbs with your existing projector lens 👍

Led for longevity/HID for lighting output. For a projector headlights Led is the best Choice 👍

Hid bulb still gives better performance. Bps lighting has real good ballast. Loss trusts in morimoto

They have both hid and led kits

HID is the best. Cause of 360 degrees light. Or you can choose bi-led projector. Lux level is so important too. There is so big difference with them. And also focus point is at middle at HID bulb. But LED bulb light is not at focus point. If you choose HID bulb, you need real metal reflector like Hella, Morimoto.

Would it matter though for led not to be at focus point as there's the lens assembly which can compensate for it? Unlike led in reflector casing that get its light scattered everywhere instead 🤔🤔🤔

@metehan1727 Those myths have been debunked hundreds of times! Car manufacturers don't even use HID systems anymore because LED systems have been proven to be better on ALL levels... Plus most people use LEDS in projectors or reflectors not made for them!

2 wires : 1 red positive 1 black negative. Connect to high beam and you're done.

Normally it's rated at 55w but i was really surprised how it easily could reach 70w On a 15 Amp/14V power supply !. Been using it for two years I've never had any issues. Thanks for passing by.

Yes the factory car wires and relay rated at 60w/bulb without any sign of abnormalities

Yes measure temperature when you have a shit noisy fan on the LED and the HID is passively cooled... Turn of the LED fan and then measure heatsink temperature. The LED will heat to 200c and then die... The only cons to HID are lifespan and the modest lm/w rating
