Me facing same problem...tried many options even did repotting..micro nutrient and what not ..will try your option and see....and if works there is no words to say thanks to you...keeping fingers crossed

Did it work? Now I found the another problem of it, It has slow rooting tendency, and it does not grow fiber roots sufficiently.

@@BeTheCREATOR just shifted to a semi shade place..yesterday only will update u the resiult after 15 days...

Same here... in northeast we grow hibiscus tree in the corner of the garden where hardly sun lights came... so I decided to do same here in my Mumbai apartment ...

Some hybrid species are hard to maintain. This one is not flowering for last one year, leaves are became small, no new root development seen.

1) what is the name of this variety of hibiscus? 2) have a hibiscus whose leaves have just dropped off, it was flourishing earlier in the same place. any advice on this. i wonder if it is due to too much water retention in the soil.

This is according to the nursery called Pune variety. I think your prediction is right, too much water can damage the root ball. if it is in the same soil for long then try to change the soil with the mix of 30% compost. ensure good drainage also.

Yes, 1)today morning I have removed some soil from the pot, and put it out to dry off. 2)came across your video, "had" the same plant(Pune variety as mentioned by you),had a lot of blooms on it this winter in Mumbai, unfortunately lost it to white scale, that is the reason asked about variety name. 3) thanks for responding. And hope I can save the plant with the problem.

ये निर्भर करता है गुड़हल का species पर। कुछ संकर प्रजाति है जो ज्यादा धूप में पीला पर जाता है। बाकी तो धूप में ही अच्छा रहता है।

Yes it can be. And you have to follow the same way as to make bonsai of tropical tree.

আপনি গাছের গোড়ার মাটি খুঁড়ে দিন রোদ লাগতে দিন। মাটি শুখিয়ে গেলে গোবর সার বা কম্পোস্ট সার ৫০০ গ্রাম আর ১০০ গ্রাম সর্ষে খোল মাটির সাথে ভালো করে মিশিয়ে অল্প জল দিন। দুর্বল শাখা গুলো কেটে ফেলুন। মাটি শুখিয়ে গেলে আবার জল দেবেন। প্রত্যেক বছর ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসের শুরু তে গাছ ছেঁটে দেবেন। রাসায়নিক সার দেবেন না।

Shade mei rakh ke dekhiye, nehi hua toh soil change kijiye. compost ya gobar khad milake. agar soil thik hai toh mustard cake powder daliye.

@@BeTheCREATOR can't remember seeing it but, *think harder* ,,, i have seen it,, just not in Norway,, in Scotland =) , you visited guy named Rob Fallen's youtube ? kzread.info/dash/bejne/e5-Xsdl-iqXRepM.html this is a video of his Hibiscus , i think Norway and Scotland is about same growing zones climate. he may have some extra protection going tho,, i have no real good place to put tropical trees in winter ., not tropical maybe , deciduous ? coniferous ? ... i am still learning.. my clementine tree that is in window shelf and has not seen sun for 2-3 months almost., my apartment is just not facing sun side..

Thik kahte hai, lekin is variety ka bat kuch alag hai, winter mei flowering deta hai. Summer mei dormancy mei chala jata hai.
