In this episode, M. R. Hari introduces Mr Ambrose who shares his unique concept about living close to Nature, about farming, food self-sufficiency, farmers’ collectives, value addition in farming, recycling of resources and so on. Mr Ambrose believes that technology should not grow at the cost of human labour, or serve to make the rich minority richer. He believes that the people of Kerala who are almost exclusively consumerist, have to change, become producers too, and take interest in manufacturing value-added products as well. His enterprise named Farmer’s Share makes value-added products from gooseberry, seasonal fruits and even hibiscus.

ചെമ്പരത്തി ചെവിയിൽ വയ്ക്കാൻ മാത്രം അറിയാവുന്ന മലയാളിക്ക് ഇതൊക്കെ ഒരു പുതിയ അറിവ് ആയിരിക്കും... ഞാൻ എൻ്റെ വീടിൻ്റെ അതിരിൽ മുഴുവൻ ചെമ്പരത്തി നട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.... പൊടി ഒരു പരിധി വരെ റോഡിൽ നിന്ന് കുറഞ്ഞു... പിന്നെ വണ്ടികളുടെ. ശബ്ദവും... പൂർണമായും ഇല്ലാതായി എന്നല്ല, കുറഞ്ഞു... അത് തന്നെ വലിയൊരു ആശ്വാസം.... ഒരു natural insulator എന്ന് വേണമെങ്കിൽ പറയാം

Most of the commodity product prices are determined by Market dynamics. If someone decides to price too much nobody will buy it. He is wrong. Also the very farm law he criticized was supposed to give much more power to farmers to sell wherever they want there by giving freedom to farmers. He is misinformed and may be guided too much by ideologies

@@CrowdForesting He may be providing specialized products. I was talking about his comment about only farmers are not able to decide the price of the product they produce. Which is a generalization and wrong. No where in the world a commodity producer can charge as per his liking. As you rightly pointed out , only if you produce niche product like he does you can charge a premium. I am glad you have only pointed out the contradiction.
