This build blew me away! Wow such a creative and clean build on the HG platform. I started looking into doing one of these as I'm huge fan of the Rc4wd Tf2, Tf3 line but I see the price has gone up tremendously on those HG now. I may look at doing one eventually thanks for doing wonderful content with awesome information for us scale guys

Very nice. Im actually in the process of waiting for my yota axles. For a super scale 79'-83' toyota pickup. Going with that light sand Tamiya color, that was rather common those years. Well, in my mind anyway, LOL. But thanks for the scale wheel hub mod. Man you are about as infected with RC as myself brother. Good show.

Oh I almost forgot. That Tamiya Hg P407 frame is about as scale to the real Toyotas as you can get. Being that I have build a few 1:1 scale trucks, I can say this for sure. Except the Toyota was a boxed frame, but nonetheless, the front mid and rear cross members are super scale. Also, the rear spread out leaf springs as well, because there is a full size spare tire back there, on the 1:1 scale. Now the RC4WD TF2 frame is aluminum, and too narrow spaced in the rear. But the Tamiya frame is perfect, to mount a spare tire under there. Anyhow, thought I'd share that tip with you. You can even build a nice crank and a handle to retract the rear tire up under there. Then use the stow away crank, put through the rear by the license plate, to lift the spare into place.

yeah the u bolts and perches clamp the axle tubes very tight, the hg-p407 / bruiser axles are totally round tubes anyway. you can file a small flat spot on the axles when removing the shock mount on the yota axles to help position them if you wanted to.

The 407 is a true rerelease bruiser clone with all metal chassis and gearbox and axles, the 409 is a plastic chassis and plastic gears and axles resembling the Tamiya hi lift series they released back in the 2000's I personally like the 407 because they are a tough truck
