I love that in the sequel they made Adam not look bloody identical to He-Man. I always thought it was so stupid in the original that so few characters knew they were one and the same when all he does is change his outfit from the neck down.

The production costs of the toys the show was based on weren't the greatest and most of the characters had the same body mold. Since the show's main purpose was to sell the toys the characters mostly looked the same as well, also due to costs. Take a look at She-Ra as well and how all the princesses look the same. We don't really have to worry about any of that today.

Agreed. IMO Skeletor is the only character that looked ‘better’ in the side by side in the video. The slightly more 3D animation is better, but the 3D animations which were used took away from the art style making it worse overall IMO.

The point I'm trying to make is that eventhough people grew up their expectations of the show stayed the same. Some people who grew up watching heman. Would simply "say wow they made a new Heman". End of story. Not a single view from them. The ones actually willing to watch the new one. Without a doubt. Would watch simply out of nostalgia. Because they want to have that Nostalgia. They are hoping to recapture their childhood. It's only natural. I personally did not grow up on Heman. It all happened way too early for me to get into it. Heck I never really understood the lore. I am however, capable of placing myself in the position of the majority. Of the classic fans that is. Basic rule in market research. I'm not saying not to create one with more mature themes. Still it will and as we can see, it has been far less profitable. As it failed to arouse that nostalgia that people were looking to have. No business wants to lose money or get bad reviews. It would have been a better decision to once again pander to the people willing to watch. As the audience they were aiming for clearly didn't show up. Netflix should know better. It's not having mature themes that pissed people off. Shit writing and terrible reading of the market did. Look at Castlevania. That shit slaps. It's animated and has scenes that should belong on an X-rated site. People still watch it and enjoy it because there was no nostalgia being sacrificed. Now they have no viewers and no prospect of gaining long lasting ones. This isn't even an opinion at this point. Proof is there. The people hate the new Heman, because they didn't make it for the right audience. I'll draw reference to this again. Imagine R-rated Simba dropping an F bomb halfway through Hakuna Matata. Or a detailed version of Mufasa's death. Thinking about it now I might watch it, but it doesn't matter. Not until I can gather a large audience that would be willing to sit down and do so.

the original is so much more better than the new trash one and no one can deny it.
