The balance of security/convenience is sometimes hard to find but my experience has certainly lead me to realize that if you are not Edward Snowden, keeping a reasonable level of convenience actually brings a broader and more frequent use of security. Been here almost since your firefox episodes, and i completely agree with this new direction. Even if i really care about privacy I knew the niche stuff was not sustainable for me, my setup, or my work. So i fell a bit off. I do think having this more mainstream, accesible and convenient approach to privacy is what we should strive for and push regulators and companies to give us.
