It's not like people are wrong to question Hetmeyer's selection based on his performance for the WI. He has been selected for a specific role and not because his statistics were good.

I think Hetmeyer was selected based on his capabilities, one of the few bright spots from the previous T20 World Cup. We still waiting to see Myers capabilities in WI uniform.And Fletcher never seems to do well for WI.

@@sancho4790 I saw what Hetmeyer did on the WI team. At times he seemed nervous. He got one good score that I can recall. They left him off the team. International competition has higher stakes than league play and it shows. It would be great if those capabilities you speak of come to the table but I don't see him as someone who gets the most out of himself, except in the field. May he prove me wrong.

I would have chosen Kyle Mayers over Jason Holder. Holder is way too expensive a bowler and Mayers is the better batsman.

He has all the talent in the world but what he lack is between his two ears , of couse he can score runs no one doubting that but its been a while since hetty score big runs consistently.

The same could be said for Russell, Charles, Holder and Chase

I want to let you guys know Heyti 3:03 can open the batting and demolished the bowling attack with his power and filders in the 30 yard circle he can give us a very good start more than any other openers. He was pushed into a position of a finisher.

Let's give Sammy and the boys a chance. No body here knew Shamar . It's a complete stranger not from this part of the world who saw hlm bowled one ball and said he is world class. Over the years we have distroyed ourselves , players from certain countries had the preference. Thank.

To be honest we should have gone with McCoy over holder for variety…… too many quote on quote right arm medium pace “ all rounders” in our team …… we really didn’t NEED holder seeing it’s only 15 players and you need a left arm Fast bowler to change the angle to right handlers……. McCoy is a big miss ………. .. Mayers not so much cause hope or HETMASTER can open for us if Charles do a madness in the World Cup 😂💯🤣

When we look at the alternatives to Shamar, they all have the same weakness as him. The only thing they may have is experience which is not helping our team at this moment. But Joseph has pace as an advantage which the alternative lack.

The debate is never, nor has it ever been about Shrimrons potential or ability. How long are we going to give him the chance and he keeps disappoint?

Team looks good, but performance is the key. Desmond spoke about roles and i hope the players understand that. They need to think and conctruct the innings. Cant have 11 guys all going out there trying to hit a six of every ball.

But they are many alrounders in the team who can play a similiar role as finishers like hettymeyer .....so why stress on a finisher ........mayers is not in form .........shamar is no gamble he is a performer with skill he will perform

This selection of the two Josephs is a stupid one: if you play stupid games you'll win stupid prizes! Both are extremely expensive and on the bench in the IPL right now. That's not a positive look cause if they were good T20i bowlers, they wouldn't be on the sidelines. How can Alzarri be VC and leaks runs more than anything else in the world? That's not a sensible move. Obed McKoy with his variations and left arm angle would've been a better option for both Josephs. We will not win a third title cause Sammy isn't the logical coach I thought he was: just a glorified cheerleader. I couldn't leave out a three dimensional player like Fabian Allen nor an experienced Andre Fletcher. Alzarri will go for runs in every match and we will not make it out of the group stage. If bowling is our problem, why is one of the most expensive bowlers our VC? Next question, who will bowl our death overs with no McKoy around ?

My brother you struck the nail right on it's head trust me alzari is no t20 bowler the guy hardly gives you 4 overs for less than 30 runs. For alzarri's last 5 t20 mountings the guy has gone for close to 50 runs in each outing. Pure nonsense and then I can sympathize with shamar I have a feeling he will come through

This is arguably our best team. Except I would go with Obed for Shamar.

Holder and Hope are the two I would not have chosen.

Holder is averaging 10.78 runs an over since 2022. Since 2021 Holder has a batting strike rate of 129.21 while averaging 12.56 runs in T20. Did I spell it out for you? I go by the numbers.
