Oh my God, the way she held her daughter on her knee had the raccoon in her right hand, open the door with her left hand was yelling to get in the house, closed the door, and then tossed that raccoon far enough for her to get in . I’m just amazed!!

I wouldn't say heroic....

This pains me because that kid probably had to have serious rabies shots and those needles are no joke. You can hear the kid crying in the house. 😢

I think if you trap the animal and they test it you won't have to get the rabies shots.. thats if the animal doesn't have rabies .. I think but not sure

@James-fo5zj Maybe, but Racoons don't normally attack people like that one did without something seriously wrong with it, so if it doesn't have rabies I'm sure it probably has to have something to go crazy like that. Hopefully she didn't have to get a rabies shot cause that would hurt.

Don't underestimate rabies, there's no cure once it progresses. Be safe and if you ever encounter a bat in your living quarters or are bitten by wild animal, just go to the ER. Bat bites are very small and people mistake them as something else and animals that bite unprovoked are more likely to have rabies. Also make sure domestic dogs get the vaccine. The number of cases of where an unvaccinated domestic dog transmits rabies is scary.

​@@pragmaticapproachenglish6875rabies can come from any infected animal. if you arent treated for rabies within the first day and show any symptom AT ALL. YOU WILL DIE. 99.9 percent mortality rate even with top healthcare. we simply havent beat rabies...same as cancer

She was about to throw it but she realized that her neighbor had left the house... her instinct to protect HER NEIGHBOR (daughter and neighbors) were on another level!

Have better preparation: remember you live on THEIR territory. Animals have instincts and you’re supposed to have a brain.
