Heroes Who Saved Falling Children

These heroes saved falling children. In 2019, a teen was in the right place at the right time to make an important catch just as a child fell out of a building. It was heartstopping drama in 2015 when a toddler was tossed from a burning building into the arms of a firefighter in Georgia. In 2021 a delivery driver saved a toddler who fell from a 12-floor balcony. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

Welcome to the club people.. As someone who dove into traffic to save a little girl who ran from her mother out into it, I know what this is like. People asked me afterwards how it happened and why I jumped into the street after her with great risk to myself and I was like, "Didn't really have a choice." And I wasn't even a fireman lol.. I was actually there doing community service for Joyriding. It's weird to think, that kid may not have been alive had I not have done that, moved home and ended up doing sweep sweeping when it happened, and when it happened, it happened in the span of a few short seconds..

So I guess all the times that kids fell and died or died in other accidents we should curse God for not doing his magic thing in THOSE incidents? Or we could be rational and sane people and realize that it is random luck and chance that is not personal. Sometimes it turns out in your favor and sometimes it doesn't. Otherwise we have to draw crazy and not very nice conclusions about the magic man who saves us or doesn't save us depending upon his whims or prejudices. To me, if you CAN save someone and don't, you're evil. That goes double for a supposed omnipotent being.

I think it shows that the "3 inch rule" isn't universal enough actually, not that they're particularly badly cared for. In many countries it's normal for a kid to spend most of their time unbothered by adults and I'm not about to bash people for cultural norms. Rather I would like to see the 3 in rule understood more universally.

I actually have a story of my own similar to the last one. My aunt was in the kitchen, making some thing and my little five year old cousin was sitting on the counter. I was sitting about seven or 8 feet away in a swivel chair in the kitchen next to the dining table. My little cousin fell off the counter, and I just lunged out of the chair and caught her in my arms before she hit the ground. And I have never moved that fast in my entire life since then.
