I've spent a lot of time in this F2P game. I've played various triple A titles but the H&G always had that feel to it that no other FPS game could replicate. H&G will always have a special place in my memory.

😭 I love this game, I should have spent more time with it. It had it's flaws but damn, it got so much stuff right. As the gaming industry is growing increasingly monopolysed, I fear we will never see such a game ever again.

I'm glad I came back to the game after your videos, many hours spent with my potato with H&G running will be unforgettable. Maybe someday I'll be able to start and the second part remembering 1. Thanks for all your work and angel singing and may the flop be with you

You know...been playing this since 2016 with some friends. It was like our old trusty game we went to when we didn't know what else to play. Game is pretty buggy lol, but it is what made it fun imo. GGs to all those tanks i left over a tiny rock and the soldiers that got corpse launched to oblivion.

What remains are loads of videos with good memories.

I knew that this day was gonna come eventually, but to now have a date for it is just... Weird... I was a child when this game came out and i was there almost from the beginning... Another part of my childhood will turn into nothing more then a memory...

ah man, gonna be sad to see my (2nd) favourite fps go. I absolutely agree on your butterfly affect point, especially in war where planes are so scarce, every one i shot down felt like a huge victory, and it's something i haven't seen replicated in any other game

@@JS-iu3ce yeah no interest in tf2, have seen some bits of hell let loose, but havent tried it yet but it has peeked my interest a little bit, even heard ww2 online is getting a ue4 update, maybe that will be good, but that will take some time before it releases, but we'll see, prob wont ever find a game like h&g (even if its just the fps part)

man I cant belive it. H&G was the first game that I played on my first toaster laptop and it allways has been one of my favorite and most nostalgic games. Best times were the times when I would join your stream games and goof around

Sad to see H&G go, played it since 2014. It had its ups and lots of down, but still a fun and different experience from anything else out there. Also glad never spend a dime on the game.

Dude this game brought back so many memories of when I used to play it back in 2016, I want to say Thankyou for keeping the game alive as long as possible,

Been watching your contents since the credit guide. Finally I got included in your video, even only a frame XD Yeah, it's always sad to see f2p online games closing their servers, even sadder if it's my own favourite one. I asked the question about the gameplay because it's one of the grindiness and the uniqueness of the game, and also it can even run in my ol' 10 years laptop with integrated graphic card. So yeah H&G will be missed and it's kinda surprised that the game still survived until later in 6 months

So first of all I want to thank you for answering my question, gave me a little hope honsetly :)) and secondly want to thank Reto/TLM for the game. I'm very sad to hear that the end of Heroes and Generals is coming but I am happy that it lasted this long. I'm playing since 2015 and put 4.000 hours into it and havent spent a single dollar. Not much free staff can entertain people for this long. Also if H&G2 is happening I hope they recreate the Town map more or less. That alone would make me play the game - for nostagia at the very least. They dont have to do anything with the other maps so it wouldnt feel like the same game but 1 map would allow us the reminisce about the wonderful past of the game.

Yeah, after all those days (well, some that I could play this game), we saw the rise and fall of H&G. Like I said in my recent video talking about this topic (the Heroes & Generals 2 and the future of the old game), the only things we'll remember from this game are the screenshots, the gameplays and the Funny Moments; mentioning some of the channels that used to make content (well, with some that continues making content) of this game. Including you, GPAKOS. As always, nice video.

I'm going to be really sad to see this go. It felt grindy, it felt laggy, it felt unfair a lot of the time (god I hated the STGs), but in the end I still logged 500 hours in it, and I still had a lot of fun. It felt like one of the only games I could drive a tank and have my singular presence matter, where I could use a bolt-action or semi-auto rifle and not get deleted by someone with an automatic rifle who knew the recoil pattern perfectly. I wish they'd at least have kept it in maintenance mode for a bit longer, maybe. I don't know much about server costs but it can't be too hard to keep running. But I guess all things must end at some point. Either way, thanks for the update, and I'm super happy I'll get to hear more of your silly antics in the future even after the game goes. Looking forward to it

Oh my gawd, I can't 😭😭😭, I remember grinding my camouflaged badge, and thousand hours playing , rest in pace legend

I literally had all of my captured weapons on Germany even the Owen's, all my free to play time gone.

I feel like modern FPS try to be the most realistic, the best combat simulator and everything but completely miss the 'fun'. H&G had derpy fun and is an enjoyable game to play. I don't want to spend 1h walking across a 1:1 scale of france, then die to one bullet. I just want to have a good time ey.

Imagine if during the last 24 hours the servers are online they unlocked every possible item and camo. That would be fun.

Damn. Started playing this game back in 2013, havent played it for years. It's still sad to see it gone, but the whole "2014-2018 didnt care about feedback" sounds about right...

i still cant believe this game is going to be shut down. sure, we all shit on the game for, well, being shit, but it was OUR shitty game, we loved it through its flaws. countless rage moments, and even more laugh attacks have been had through this game. thank you heroes and generals, we love you, you will be missed

i really loved the game back in 2015 and 2016. i was so happy when it was still going again in 2023. im so happy that there is hope for the second game but it hurts in my heart to see the game go off forever ...

funny how the reason why i love H&G is the goofy but they actively move away from it and try to compete with other try hard WW2 games

2k hours on this game I don’t regret it this shit was fun

I can't ignore all the fun and good times I have had in this game, and though I will certainly miss the visuals, and gameplay, I will pledge 50 bucks just to try to keep that experience alive. If all of us make even a tiny pledge, we can possibly reach the goal.

Damn, I've been playing HnG since the open beta. Hearing that it's now gonna shut down in 6 months is sad, but also I'm kinda relieved that such old game managed to run for almost a decade. I will definitely miss the game, but I did have a lot of great memories especially when I squad up with my old friends, twas a lot of fun. My most memorable moment was me and my pals running up to tanks with mines strapped to bikes. or that one time we went on a rampage after capturing an M3 Lee, all of us manning the 3 guns.

So many memories with H&G ;(

15:40 1 thing to say. I care about your channel. I dont really love h&g but I love your funny personality and your humor. It also feels really fresh when you start upload other game (at the time it was like phasmo or something) so dont fence out on that. and also your editing skill is mouchh (chef kiss sfx). XD

i didn't play H&G that much my experience was always either destroying other players in krepost outpost or just getting butt fucked by others it was still fun to play and grind i enjoyed it but didn't play it that much because i have a potato pc and it's really sad to see a game like this go away i always watched your videos altough i don't play it anymore it's really sad and i hope that the veterans like you get recognition or compensation you guys carried this game this far

The end of an era boys. I spent much time in this game and you could even say that it's the main reason why I was interested in the FPS genre at all. Most PvP FPS games just feel like sweatiness and streamlined gameplay which is just meh imo but H&G gave you so many good weapon options and let you do anything you want, I loved it. I fear H&G2 will lose a lot of it's uniqueness cuz modern gaming industry and if it changes too much fundamentally or even worse, becomes streamlined, then It's kinda just meh. We also lost too many players as is and those who stay will just be sad about losing their years of progress. As an avid fan I'll probably still play the game at launch (if it even launches, that is) but I'll have to keep expectations low unfortunately. The WW2 FPS market is kinda saturated already, so they gotta make something special if they wanna succeed imo. Also sorry for rant xd

I did ask about the revenue from the battlepasses, info on squad mechanics, minimum requirements, and more but in this video I only speak about the ones were we didn't get a "too early too tell" or "no comment" as an asnwer. We pretty much asked about everything but I was only allowed to show the "meme" answers on video.

I quit H&G cuz I really hate this games about how broken it was and it never get fix but I still sticked with its community until this day, cuz I really hope it can be better someday then it dead. I somehow feel good for it to end up this way maybe for it can finally rest in peace and never getting worse anymore, I always remember how shocked I am when the first I played H&G when it was still in beta I can't believe what I played was a free to play game I get so much fun from it even though that was only 15FPS on my screen I'm willing to charge all my pocket money into it in those days cuz it just worth it in that days so R.I.P my brother you deserve to live in my memory with your best form but not to struggling to get up like a walking rotting corpse!

for me that I've been playing since it came out it was a big blow. I will never forget the ratchet sniper kills after the classic tactical whistle. Road kills with bicycles and civilian vehicles.. Thanks for everything H&G. Let's hope we make at least one remake from the city map...

To be honest ... i feel bad for the community and all veteran players who invested some serious amount of time and money into the game. The fact that players wont be able to transfer any progress and unlocks to the new game is ridicules and just a big f*you to the community from devs. At least show some appreciation and offer something to the veterans as a small thank you for sticking thru the hard times, reporting the bugs and trying to make the game a better place for everyone....

F in the chat for HnG. I have a few hundred hours in the game, and while it has brought me pain, it has also brought me joy. While I hope that HnG 2 happens, I'm doubtful of it. 3 million seems like a large amount considering the fanbase is not that big, and I can't imagine $3M actually paying for that much development time.

This is still my favorite game to play on my low end pc. It run kinda well. and it hurts to see that its coming to an end. I still remember when i first downloaded it i had so much fun. My favorit feature of H&G the typewriter sound when you use the chat :D, and you got a point at the goofy ahh ragdoll. I never saw any pay to win shit in the game. I loved it soo much. Im gonna play as long as i can before it shuts down. Rip H&G

I think it's a bit sad that I will probably never "see" the people I met along the way ever again.

I hope they can make H&G 2 a success. I never played 1 daily but every once and a while it would just suck me in for a month or 2 . Arcady enough to just have fun but good enough to keep you interested.

I have played H&G since 2019 and had a break in the last 6 months but im just sad, i used to play it nearly every day whit my freind, since the TLM tookover it has been saved, but the game became laggy, and unplayable for me (i have a good system). H&G is niche and have interesting idea in their time. Multiplayer Ww2 game with infantry,tank, aircraft and lot of weapon and role is great. Sad that the management is so bad.

If you guys want a suggestion: if you're on PC, buy BFV and discover the world of mods for that game. There are mods to make it a realistic ww2 game and I love it. Also other games like Hell Let Loose are great even for casuals.

Big sad moment. Ive firstly seen this game in hydra funny moments video, started playing like a year later. I had so much fun even if it runned at 15 fps on lowest resolution. So much good memories, about 850 hours. I will miss it. :( At least ive never spent any money on it (2:03 look mom, imma famous)
