The Xpulse has finally got its 3rd update and for the first time ever it now has a 4-valve engine. While it is still a 200cc motor, it produces a bit more power and torque and now has a bigger oil-cooling radiator too. We compare it with the BS6 Xpulse and add the Himalayan in the mix too while topping off with the Impulse from where the adventure desire started.

    XPulse 4V anyday. The weight of the Himalayan and the soggy brakes and coarse engine are a big letdown.

    @@rammohang4760 chassis is also a structural risk... I saw few videos where the chassis snapped from handle pipe joints!

    It is a lot more fun to do the zip zap avoiding potholes on any bike of TVS Apache RTR series than moving on over the potholes on an XPULSE.... The RTR series could also tackle about 70% of off road duties ( remaining 30 % includes extreme road conditions and a bit deep water crossings) .... But for hard core off roads, Xpulse 2V/4V is a better product for starters..

    I hope they launch it on or before 2023 but its not like a dakar bike it will be in 300 - 400 CC category just a guess cause they showed a prototype an year ago

    I own Xpulse 2v BS-4, I Own a Hero Impulse as well. And I've ridden the xpulse 4v as well. But I can surely say this that if you are an off roading enthusiast or spend a lot of time on trails, still there's no match for Hero Impulse. No doubt xpulse has best suspension set up and does the job pretty well. But Impulse is a whole different animal when it's about off roading and trail riding.

    I think the -- on the gear indicator when you hold down the clutch is because it is rpm based gear postion indicator rather than a convention gear postion sensor like other bikes.

    The manual says that the payload capacity is 130kg so more weight will start to mess with the suspension.

    It won't mess with the suspension. Indian manufacturing standards are still FOS 3. Know what this means?

    Maximum payload on the bs6 and bs4 is 130kg, i bet it is same for 4v. So testing it with 180kg is always going to disappoint anyone. Chassis is also bit different as the front down tube if i am not wrong ,no longer have the cut section for the exhaust bend pipe. Air intake is also bigger on 4v.

    @@wolfrider131 brother u can manage but still get a good test ride or try to get hold of a rental bike for a day. I have seen 90kg rider using it every day and sometimes with a pillion. But only a good test ride can clear ur confusion. 130kg is the max payload as per hero's manual.

    @@ijs_diy took test ride of xpulse and found it lil bit under powered even compared to my current 11 year old work horse pulsar 180 UG4.. so I took test ride for Yezdi adventure and found it better in response..

    Just to know you about this. I have a bs6 2v Xpulse and it does 90kmph in 3rd gear. Maybe the difference is due to the up-teeth of rear sprocket😅

    wha t you are saying is wrong. it is easy for me to pass a comment but i would appreciate if you do a bit more research. when a vehicle is not on the road, abs is the biggest enemy. specially rear wheel, it is imperative that the rear wheel must lock up. or else the bike will stop much farther away when it is in dirt gravel etc.

    Himalayan prices are joke now.. 2.68lakh onroad mumbai😑 Add couple of panniers & mods and you end up paying almost 3.20lakh😑
