Have been riding the old 2 valves model in Colombia for almost 2 years now. Absolute fun, confidence inspiring and so far reliable bike. It will go everywhere where the big adventure bikes, if only a little slower. The video captures its essence very well I think.

If u have conqured almost 50% of market since from14 years in front of honda suzuki yamaha in their same segment then definitely u are reliable

I started out ride on trail bikes about the same size as this bike when I was about 13 years old and learned how to ride that way , now leep forward to today when I'm 20 days from 56 years on this rock and having own many much larger bikes over the years I find my self looking at bikes in the 200cc to 400cc for just riding around .

I'm watching from Canada, the Xpulse is pretty neat, those Indian bikes keep getting better! A bike tour in South Africa would sure be nice! I've heard if you avoid the major cities then its safe enough, are you doing tours with guides or just renting out bikes? thanks!

This is the perfect bike for Asian and African Markets, it has a lot of potential.

I've had a BMW 1200 GS, an original Africa Twin 750, a Super Tenere and a host of others. However, my most favourite 'adventure bike' I've ever owned is a little Honda CRF250L. Hands down the best bike to get proper 'adventuring' with. Cost effective, reliable, easy to maintain n service. It never let me down, I took it all over and tackled since pretty knarley off road too. It did it all. I'm now a full convert to small capacity bikes. I just wish more manufacturers would follow the humble Hero 200 and get back to good simple reliable SMALL bikes.

I also bought a second hand relatively big 2016 adventure bike in 2018 and though it was remarkably great to commute with despite its size, it was just too heavy and intimidating to use it off road. I "swopped" it for a Hero Xpulse 200 earlier this year and yes, moving from a 1000cc Adventure to a 200cc one is quite a bold move, but I've learnt to adapt and once you've adjusted to the change, it's far less stressful traveling on gravel roads now. Sorry guys with the big adventure machines, but they are too overrated and expensive. I decided to simplify and don't regret it! Where do you get a bike with a 5 year, 100 000km warranty at this price? That alone speaks for itself....

Just bought this bike a week ago, very sweet motorcycle in deeded.

The verdict is spot on ,,, i own a xpulse 200 carb variant (1st gen) here in India, the light weight nature of this bike really helps while off roading and even if it falls there is very little to break on it, so I don't have to worry about costly repair bills like big ADVs ,, the build is solid and very frugal to maintain as well.

Thank you guys, fun to watch and yes it makes sense! for such a low price it is very tempting... interesting concept ...I like your idea of creating an adventure rental platform in SA, you will have great success and I would love to hire one and join an outing for fun, for sure!

I own an old gen Xpulse and I would also say the same about the bike, love to ride it day on for my daily commute, with some offroads on the way, newly opened side roads never gravelled not paved

I absolutely have to agree with you Matt and Don. I’m on my 3rd GS1200 and seriously, I wouldn’t take it on an overlanding trip, I’d take a lighter bike. I’ve had more fun on the 2 Honda Transalp 700’s than I’ve had on the GSs. Less weight equals more fun. I grew up in the 70’s on Yamaha DTs and XT500’s and they were plenty fun. I think I’m going to look at the X-Pulse as a local adventure bike as in riding to Harties and back from Fourways! Cheers for the great show!

I always thought that the consensus with these big off road bikes was the opposite of what you said. Most people think they're a stupid, heavy, prohibitively expensive, waste of time. Only posers need apply. Most will live in people's living rooms and never see a tree. Loved the vid. The bike seems to be great. It'll never appear in England.

I have been riding the same one for the past 4 months and loved every bit of it. the problems faced in two valves are almost dealt with in this new edition 4 valve. more mileage more comfort and definitely more fun. It's simple, good, reliable, and won't bleed your pockets. I highly recommend it to every adventure lover out there.

I bet this is really good. It looks the part. If I wanted a 200 I'd go for a VanVan200, though. You can still get them in Thailand.

you probably got the bs6 2valve model in the paint scheme of the all new 4v. Exhaust and radiator are from the 2v model.

You don't get Xpulse rally kit in SA? Interestingly, it is a "street legal" kit.

X pulse 300 is about to come..

I recently bought a 2015 Honda Goldwing, and immediately put 4,000 highway miles on it. It was a single owner bike, upon which the original owner had spent close to $5,000 on farkles. And, RIDDEN IT LESS THAN 3,000 MILE/YEAR!!! This is true of the average bike in the US. These bikes are bought to be polished and stored. Why not ride the F out of them? Because these BBW’s are not really rideable anymore. These expensive, ponderous nymphs are money whores, but give little pleasure to the poor simp who gets hooked. You buy an X-Pulse, you ride the S out of it, and it happily goes on your life’s adventures with you. Like Snowy! My Triumph Tiger 800 was too heavy and expensive for me to do any more than photo tourism on. My bonneville aroused the world’s envy from my front yard, till it got stolen. The NC700 I bought after that was a capable commuter, and made me realize the folly of buying bikes based on coolness factor.

@@hunkyleepickle haha. I was wondering who’d ask that. See, the tiger is too heavy, IMHO of course, for REAL off-roading and adventure riding. I can do a wet boggy rutted mud trail just fine on ANY bike (with 17” wheels or bigger). AND, it was NOT comfortable enough for REAL long distance riding: going 700 plus miles in a day. I emphasize REAL, because reality is the problem with these nouveau bikes. They fit a fantasy, an image, but fail in real life use. The Goldwing delivers on the long distance promise, and isn’t a bad commuter. It is surprisingly stable at low speeds, and can be “flicked” decently well - should you need to swerve to save that puppy. It is a boat, it is not a dreamboat. Ditto Hero XLR. It is a real life bike. It’s form, function, and affordability have a coherence that translates into über usability. The Tiger was BEAUTIFUL, orgasmically so. But it was uncomfortable after the first 300 miles, and just too heavy if I dropped it, panniers loaded, on the Taos mesa. I know, I did. Took 3 chaps to push it vertical again.

People should be buying bike like these, small,light,efficient,comfy,and durable rather than spending 25K dollars on a big ass house like a bike.

Big adv especially 1000 cc + are more of egoistic purchase , just to declare the world that u r rich ,manly man , can afford big bikes and can go off roading....true off-road adventure bikes are all under 600 cc

My Indian brand can do anything because our Hero brand is durable, trustable, reliable.

The first thing a ADV or in this case Dual Sport has to have is reliability. For that reason alone this bike is not a good choice.

Can you backup your claim that they are unreliable? I would take this reliability over our notoriously unreliable orange friends any day of the week.These bike have Honda like reliability and are built for markets where it can’t afford to be unreliable.

One thing is for sure when you launch I’m ready to rent one with luggage and all and possibly a tour guide for specific route and camping not sure🙏🏾🫡. Just please ensure you have branch in western cape because here there is lekker roads to explore 😂maybe rent to own once 🤯🤔🫡
