I had doubts about this civil war thing, but the last month was the most fun I had watching Minecraft videos. We saw everything, Lamas in space, charged creapers, psychological warfare, some of the coolest redstone I've seen in a while, wolf-based warfare, armor stands as distraction, awful quituple agent 00Bananas and last but not least a lot of needless video game violence ;) . A huge less than three to everyone who was involved. That was simply amazing.

Stressmonster was awesome holy... she totally got you

Stress was the MVP of the battle. She single hanndedly killed 4 maybe 5 of team star members. Also her perspective of this battle was by far the best and most entertaining one too.

@@Pendrake funny thing too is stress got xisuma last time they infiltrated the g team base. From everyone's perspective they was mostly serious about the prank war. Stress is all happy and giddy during her videos on the prank war. Stress is in my top 3 favorite hermits.

@Michael Mclellan Well it's not as though nothing's ever staged in these videos, so it's not impossible that Doc and Ren were just playing along. Or it could be on the level, and they just underestimated her, and then either hit the pigmen by mistake while swinging for Stress, or else saw a bunch of mobs drop out of the ceiling and swung at them before realizing they were pigmen. I lean toward the latter. People don't always make good decisions, that's just how it is.

I agree completely. Although I got burnt-out by minecraft six-ish years ago Hermitcraft manages to make it more entertaining to watch than I thought was possible to organize. Hermitcraft is like this dream model for a server we all wish we could emulate with our own friends.

And now we finally have the answer how to have an epic PvP subplot in a Minecraft series. Build a turtle for it. Build a water dispenser. Build the goblin king's Labyrinth. The Parthenon. The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. The Llama space program. The stairway to heaven. Build anything you want, as long as you stay away from building an arena :P Jokes aside, words cannot describe how awesome this war was. Easily one of my all-time favorite KZread series ever! Hats off to all the hermits - you've truly outdone yourselves this time!

Hey Doc. No idea if you'll actually see this, but I figured I'd drop it in anyways. I went on a bit of a nostalgia kick yesterday, and was checking out some old minecraft videos. I ended up rewatching a couple of episodes from the new minecraft world tour (the second season so to speak, with the sandstone perimeter and the Pyramid of life) and thought to myself: you know what? Why don't I just snag the world download and boot it up in 1.2? And when I did, I was overcome by a wave of nostalgia more intense than anything I've ever experienced before. That series was the first I ever watched way back when I was 12. Back then, I was so clueless as to how anything you built worked, but it didn't matter. Each and every episode brought with it a new awe inspiring build that captured my imagination in ways that nothing else could. Its what got both me and my little sister into minecraft, and my love for the game hasn't faded since. Just wanted to say thanks for getting me into the game and for being a source of constant entertainment for eight years. Its thrilling to see just how much this channel has grown since then, and I wish you all the best for the future.

The Three Unanswered Questions: 1) Who Gave Iskall the Diorite which he used to make the Chicken? (It was never outright confirmed to have been Mumbo, only rumored) 2) Who lured Grian into the Pirate Ship? 3) Who re-stole the Diamonds from the Stock Exchange after Grian hid them?

1) Mumbo because Iskall used a pickaxe on obsidian after iskall and Grian gave Mumbo a trident because mini lost one but they also took his stuff and made him break obsidian with his fist

Watching this was the single most exhilarating lunch break of my entire life.

The best coverage of the best group event in hermitcraft history. Absolutely smashing.

I was originally a grain fan, but through him I have found mumbo, and then hermitcraft, and now all you guys. Thank you for this civil war event, and the server, it is such fun. I hope the negativity from a small percent doesn't put you off; with millions of fans there are bound to be a few, but they are few, if vocal. Thanks all.

I feel like the warring bases should be kept along with all their weapons so teams can challenge each other in the future over another game of capture the flag. I mean, now that the game and its objectives have been defined, it would be a shame to never partake of it again!

I know the war is over and what not, but I feel like skirmishes like this need to happen more often, maybe for prizes, set teams prep quickly then duke it out. This is so epic and everyone seems to be having a lot of fun. I love Hermitcraft.

Next war, STAR and G vs Concorp

I am mainly watching Grian and Mumbos episodes but came to watch other perspectives and I gotta say that I think team star should have won! The flag capture from Grian was the most anti climactic moment in these episodes :( Falses capture was waaaay more exciting! Plus I think team star did a better job not overdoing the potions on the «challenges» while capturing the flag. Docs traps would result in at least 2-3 more deaths without golden apples and potions. Not hating though! I love all these episodes I just wanted to give some props to you Doc cause I think that your traps should have been the deciding factor :)

They did say that the use of potions were fine. Plus seeing as they had to announce when they picked up the flag and hold it, made invisibility somewhat less effective. If Doc and Wels were watching the two exits when Grian announced they could have caught him, or even launched the potion cannons to create a damaging blockade. Seeing as he was unarmored, either could have made short work of him. I personally was on the edge of my seat seeing Grian's infiltration in the dark of the labyrinth, even with several cutaways he was still having issue finding the actual flag which made me wonder whether his potion would run out before he could make it in and out. There was also the fact that he was racing the clock anyway, I think they were down to their last life when he made it in. Someone made a double string trap which I think would have been good to sprinkle around the base. The exploding corridor was frightening, but as Grian noted, they're not going to kill their own pufferfish.

I thought the same thing. I didn't want to say anything though since I only watch Doc and thought maybe my opinion is biased. From my perspective though it seems that a couple members of G-team were trying a little too hard to win. Although that could also be blamed on Team-Star for not laying out good enough rules, and also for not trying hard enough themselves. They probably should've said no potions, and no enchanted armor because Doc's traps were the most ingenious and meticulous by far on either team yet he only got 2 kills because Stress and Iskall were buffed to the brim with enchantments and potions. I did like the Pigman trap though, but another good example of Team-Star being a little too care-free was how when Doc landed behind Stress he could've immediately ran up and tried to hit Stress off the ledge to kill her and then float down to get the flag but instead he was laughing and pulled out blocks like he was going to joke around with her instead of just immediately attacking. So the blame for the anti-climactic ending should be placed on both teams. It was still extremely entertaining to watch anyways, especially considering I got burned out on Minecraft a long time ago, I only watch Doc because I love all the redstone applications that he finds.

Doc, your character is a gag, man! Analyzing it by the lines, you are like bold when speaking and when it comes to action you are "how you guys so calm?" HAHAHAHA I have been having such a good time watching you and the guys. Fantastic!!!

Been following doc since the days of mindcrack. Overall this whole prank war was about the most epic thing ever done. The traps, the song, the collaboration, everything was on point. GG

I just love this final battle. The first battle was unplanned and you could get just about everyone's perspectives in 2 videos. Now it seems more planned and complex, with every person having bits other people won't see (Doc+Ren being shot, Stress's panic room activation, Cleo's changing chats, Joe's backward sneaking, Grian's flag capture, etc.)

star team is winner for me. doc your traps were so good that it even killed the players with potions. Well, that escalated right from the get go! Doc..you WERE AMAZING!! Such prowess on the llamas with Rendog. You did your best!! You may not have been victorious in the civil war, but you are #1!! You were everywhere, manning everything, offessive, defensive, in charge of charged creepers and witches, and in the trenches, and at the ghastly cannons...a true hero. I hope they give you a purple heart! Thanks for that attempted shot at the Con Corp pair too!

This was a lot of fun,but two questions remain: 1.Who lured Grian into Ren's Ghost ship back then? 2.Where are the stock exchange's diamonds? We may never know... Team S.T.A.R. should have won

Seriously man, this whole war felt like your were letting the kids have fun. No diss to the other Hermits, just your relaxed approach felt more like a grandpa giving his grandchild some not so safe toys to play with and is having blast with them. Great stuff you Hermits do.

Can I say that I’m 5 months late to the civil war, and basically all of this hermitcraft thing? But this war really hooked me to the series!! I finished season 6 recaps and after that I went to your civil war videos to see the whole thing unfold. Amazing. Just purely amazing.
