You know what is kinda funny about that. The pics and sales in those are usually from organizations like "Big Salmon" on hermitcraft. Supermarkets tend to not make the individual ads themselves and just go with whatever their supplier gives them.

Changing the price listing on the golden carrots feels like you went in with a marker on a real sign and just added the curve to change the 2 to a 3 behind his back. Incredible.

With the hermit Permits they have a monopoly so can just charge whatever they want, at least until it gets so expensive that everyone just eats chicken instead, or get their own villager trader. Was thinking about this before, someone will probably try to exploit their monopoly and then others will retaliate and it could get into crazy inflation until everyone has to just produce everything themselves or spend all day mining diamonds. I kinda hope it'll happen, see how it goes with no price competition going on. Could go the other way too, everyone just making everything free because whats really the point in just giving diamonds back and forth without the competition anyway, might as well just give everything away then. Interesting experiment, hope it'll turn into a story line.

Please also add armorstands pushing the shopping carts. It'd look even more alive.

I was thinking of all the hermits shopping or working in the store, making grian and Joel, and some of the others as kids would be really cool.

You and xb should absolutely make flyers of weekly specials for the shop to mail to all the hermits in the new mail system!

I had a dream last night where beef used flying machines to lift all of his farm into the air to avoid everyone else. But his land was then encroaching on wels and impulse who had a sky castle together. Also Doc almost died during demise to a salmon shaped pufferfish because he “didn’t have his helmet on”

You should change the flower pots outdoor stand to be a Pumpkin and Melon stall, grocery stores tend to have their pumpkins and melons outside in large bins.

You should name the grocery store NES for Natural Eating Supplies or Nourishing Essentials Shop!

beef and doc are my favourite content creators, so this season has been like having divorced parents who are constantly tryna pit me against the other one.

Beef, you should get the sand and gravel permit from scar. People buying logs from doc using sand are technically selling sand! So if you have the permit, then he cant sell wood for sand. I am sure big salmon would love this.

hire a pair of foxy friends to harvest the berries for you, needs a very high fence though as they are a bit jumpy of nature... but you could make a secondary farm hidden underground to circumvent an eye sore of a fence!

Foxes will harvest berries. I used to have a berry farm that was fox powered, works similar to villager powered food farms, just need 3 or so foxes in an enclosed area with minecart hopper collecting underneath

The only thing about the grocery store is the outside stalls covered the only windows. Otherwise, I like everything you did.

Should Top Sellers be at the front? Wouldn't it be better at the back of the store? Then patrons would walk through the entire store, and look at the other wares for sale? 🤔

The ‘impulse buys’ should be at the front moneywise. But the way x is building he is being helpful and putting them most accessible

I think having some haybales, pumpkins, and melons being sold in an open bin in front of the store would be a great touch

They don’t have the permit for haybales, but (I could be wrong) pumpkins and melons fall under the “all foods” permit I think.

Beef, if you put the berries up one level you can harvest without getting pricked. You can put trap doors around the 'raised beds' and it looks really good. Love your videos, btw. :)

The Beefy Tunes segment is quickly making me a even bigger fan of Vintage Beef

I have an interesting idea since you want to call the store half foods you ought to retexture all the foods so they look like they've been cut in half half an apple half a golden carrot etc etc

So glad to hear the Ace of base reference :) This older MC fan appreciates the younger creators but love the older references that some may miss.

Idea to add to the supermarket: 1. A butcher/meat counter, where you could lay out all the cuts of meat and fish. Or change one of the shelves to be more refrigerator like, where all the packaged meats are. 2. A hot/deli counter to for all the “cooked” items, liked cooked meats, bread, cakes, cooked fish, baked potatoes, etc. It’d definitely feel more immersive like a market instead of a convenience store.

For berris, if you don't want to get prickled, I'd recommend using foxes. Foxes can harvestthe berries, and you can collect them with hopper minecarts, or if you grow them on mud/farmland, even normal hoppers. Automatic collection is always gonna be simpler than having to harvest manually. And hey, Foxes harvesting is still pretty organic sounding to me.

with how many secrets Beef seems to have this season, I'm just waiting for a literal skeleton in a closet to make an appearance

Your decorations in the shop are great, and I love the salmon statue in the hourglass!! Also, I really love all the attention to detail this season in the little "roleplaying" things, like, making it clear your character has Big Salmon's permission to do the Big Salmon related prank, changing your chestplate before leaning into honey blocks, and so on, between that and the detailing in the decorations it really makes this series feel alive!

That Radiohead recording is boss tier. The whole thing. Weird fishes is amazing there too. French kiss recommend. Respekt

The prank is perfect, because it really adds character to Doc's build, and it will be cleaned up as he fills it up with sand anyways!

Eagles - Hotel California (Live on MTV) The lead into the song, the crowd not knowing what's coming, then those famous cords come through the Amps, and the crowd goes wild. If you're on headphones (highly recommend), watch out for the screaming crowd at the end. 😅

I’m loving this season so far and how communal it is! The proximity mod is seriously the best invention

Love the vid just a couple of suggestions the shop is for the permit "All the Food" so instead of Half Foods it could be All Foods, also if you move the entrance exit sign up above the glass and onto the black strip the signs will stand out more or keep them where they are and instead use hanging signs. I've been really enjoying season 10 trying to watch as many povs as possible to spread the love

Great Big Salmon prank! I love that shopping cart trick, too, thanks for sharing that bit of wizardry.

I think Mojang missed an opportunity with the flower pot in the large pot. Having a tiny plant in a large pot doesn't look right - the scale is off. They should make at least the saplings render larger in them and maybe allow two-tall flowers to be planted in them.

I love the interior design! If you want an idea of how to take it even further, id say add in a few more armor stands of people with their carts, to really help bring in some realism (filled carts with no people seems a bit weird, imo). Maybe even put a kid in one of the carts.

Beef there are Golden Carrots in the barrels too. You need to change those prices to 3 diamonds.

22:17 - you can eat Kelp, but Grian holds the permit for it. It's counted separately.

If you do trap doors on top of the berry bushes you can avoid getting stuck. Go with a fence post on either side and tap doors across the top, like a modified vineyard.

I think a great opportunity with the grocery store is to get with the other hermits to open a flower department, a hardware (redstone) department etc

You can place some slabs or trapdoors above the berries to make them easier to pick without getting pricked. May not have that all natural feel but kind of makes it feel like a vineyard when you do that.

The grocery store is a great opportunity for swapping the decor seasonally. You can have plants and gardening stuff in spring/summer. Summer brings boxes of melons too. In fall you can have big cardboard boxes of pumpkins and other squash. And so on!

Such a brilliant start of the season, Beef is really embracing this one!

Outside the supermarket you could put a farmer's market (outside the doors). You could even put a grape arbour there (yes, that's the name you were trying to think of in X's base).

you can dig a ditch in between your berry bushes and harvest in the ditch, no fear of touching them bushes, downside is you can only harvest two rows from one ditch

Please put glass above your berry bushes. They will still grow, and you won't be able to hurt yourself. Could be themed as a greenhouse if neccesary.

If you place trapdoors or slabs on top of the Berry bushes you should be able to pick em safely. If you put a fence on on the beginning and end of the row, it even looks half decent. At least it's no more 'Ouch!'

Since the shop is a grocery store I feel like piles of melons, pumpkins, and haybales with a few displays of fresh vegetables would fit more than the potted plants. that feels more like a home depot type display.
