@@PNWMan No lol, just have a seperate pool of "Less" and "More" papers. Have a stack of each in a dropper which drops into the green shulker, and sort them out from the return chute back into said dropper. Would take exactly 2 (two) renamings

I was thinking, just let the players choose which outcome they want to bet on. If all players want to bet on the same outcome, they have to match bets but the round ends, players re-ante, and all antes and bets from the prior round become part of the pool for the next round.

Something I thought of quickly was each player has to list the highest place number in their stat. E.G. for the Shulker Boxes Opened, Etho had 2,071 so he would type “2” in the chat. Basically it would add the Flop, Turn, and River mechanic by giving everyone a piece of information about the table to base their betting on

@@malign3158 Something like that would be good, but going from the top can make it obvious from the first digit who wins (whether they have more digits than you would confound it a bit, but if it's something where you expect it to be the same then you get the most information right off the bat). And of course for single digits it kinda gives everything away at once. But some system like this would be really cool and definitely add more subtlety to the betting.

You can also add a dice to one to nine, which players can add to their stat number. So 0 would become 90 if luck is in your favor.

Etho you could open mr.freeze’s hitman services in a hidden store under you current ice store, just an idea tho.

As a postscript on Tango's video he delivered 2 full shucker boxes of gunpowder to Etho's base along with a sign reading "Maybe open these shuckers a few thousand times before we play again partner." I just thought that was a nice addition - showing Tango didn't just rob Etho blind by beating him at Stats Poker (although he would be entitled to do so.)

Etho you should look more into the crossbow. Without enchantments it's kinda meh but with good enchants not only is it practically a TechnoGun it can also go right through shields and do a bunch of other things. A bow is better for PvE but you should definitely explore the crossbow for PvP Anyway, keep up the good work

@Matt B You can't put Infinity on a crossbow, but Piercing would work similar if it did't hit max amount of targets (4 for Piercing IV)

you should get a secondary randomizer that adds "most x" or "least x" to the stat card so it isn't always whoever's spent the most time on the server wins

Etho: about the machine gun strategy: A: Include a stack of a rarely used junk item sol that you can fill your inventory and hotbar quickly. 1 less item in the chest is well worth not wasting time on inventory management. 2: You really need to use fireworks and improve the crossbows. It could be so effective 3. Practice makes perfect.

I was thinking, hopper+ dropper/dispenser (whichever works for this) + pressure plate means he could unload his Gatling gun just by jumping instead of futzing with his shulker inventory and losing his target.

@@zekixu5128 fair, but it's trading a bit more setup time for better visibility. Also, I'm thinking you jump *before* shooting, so your fire rate is the same. Not sure about the 1 second thing, aren't there pressure plates (gold?) That press for less time? Or is that only a button difference?

Etho you should add a “high” and “low” function to the cards. This would mean for high the player with the higher stats would win, and for low the player with the lowest stats wins. This would stop players with high mob kill stats from winning too many hands.

You should do multiple streets of betting like Texas Hold 'em. So first stat with round of betting, second stat round of betting, third stat final round. Whoever wins best 2/3 stats wins the pot. That way you could get people bluffing on low stats with hope one of their higher stats shows up to save then in a later street. I love the stat poker idea, but I think this tweak to the game will make it even more amazing. Also thoughts on how this game could make money is they could have "chips" to play and bet with. 1 Diamond could buy a player a stack of chips (any stackable labeled item, like iron/gold nuggets). And then when they're done playing the player could buy the diamonds back for like 1 Diamond per 70 chips. The winner of the bets will get more diamonds than they walked in with and the house takes a little rake you can slowly make some return on the game.

How about buying 32 chips for 1 diamond, and selling them back at 64 for 1 diamond. Shop keeps/profits 1 diamond per stack. People aren’t gonna want to deal with having to somehow have a few more in order to sell them back, especially since the “round” numbers in Minecraft are multiples of 16

I had just clicked on Tango’s video, but here I am. Seeing the same thing from Etho bothers me not!

Love seeing Etho and Tango working together! The first time I watched Tango was when you did the Boombox episode in Season 3! Love seeing you play with other hermits, it makes the videos awesome!

When fighting a player who is moving around a lot like iskall was there, I think it could be useful if instead of dropping the crossbows on the floor one by one you funnel them into a chest with a hopper then break the chest. Takes a bit longer to set up but you dont lose sight and can keep up the pressure against your opponent.

Love how tango is holding the totem of undying, as he did the vexes killed poker challenge

Just an idea to make things more interesting add an option so that there is a redstone lamp that is either on or off for weather the stat should be high or low. That way no one can artificially inflate their stats by interacting with a ton of beacons or killing a village without it potentially hurting themselves. Edit: you could also not have this stat display initially so it is like the flop in poker where you get a second round of betting (I don't know all of the poker lingo).

Great episode! You should make this a potion shop as well, and require purchase of a drink for every 3-4 hands. You could also make a jukebox: get all the records, and they have to pay a diamond to change the track.

Very unique idea! You should add a second affix stating if it is the highest or the smallest amount that wins! That way hermits who are on alot does not have an advantage.

Not only does this showcase some of the cooler stats in the game, it also leads to neat conversations on how some of those random stats got achieved. Perfect for a pub! This game deserves an 11/10!

Hey Etho, First off, awesome idea! The ante usually goes to the house ;) . Then, the small and big blinds are what keeps players from folding every single time and never playing a hand. So put the ante very low to make a small profit off each game and introduce the blinds for the same reason you're using the ante now. Also, when a player says "I call" then they call, nothing more. So if a player wants to raise they should say "I raise", not "I call and I raise". Further, you can sell beverages (potions) and snacks (food items) to further increase profits ;) . Obviously, you should employ a bartender (villager/zombie pigman/chicken jockey/...)! Keep up the good work, it's great to see you collaborating with Tango! :D

What a duo working together. Had a good time watching you guys build and have fun.

That poker game at the start was gold

Slight suggestion for poker. First round of betting is before you get to look at your stats. Second round of betting is after looking at stats

When I read the title I thought the titular stats would be horse's speed, jump, and health!

This was incredibly fun to watch, you HAVE to do this again. I don't care if you buy stuff you don't even need, just give me more of this.

I didn't think I would enjoy a video about just a single minigame this much! Great one!
