I like thinking about the behind the scenes stuff. These are all real people, who've known each other for years, they're all friends and impulse and skizz have been doing the KZread thing as a team for a long time, they are very good friends. Surely he was a huge advocate for skizz being the new hermit. So impulse got one of his best friends into the server, died, and then immediately killed him. That's friendship right there

The sweeping shot of the mountain while they were discussing where everyone is was probably my favourite part, it had such a fantastic vibe and felt very "we're building a village" in the best way possible. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but i look forward to seeing what comes next with Cherry/Magic Mountain!

Skizz has one episode of Hermitcraft and is already my favorite hermit. This video is so quintessential Hermitcraft. The comedic timing, psychology, little scripted moments, its going to be a good season.

Honestly Skizz, when my sister told me excitedly that you were joining the server, I just reacted with "..isn't he already?" You just fit in so naturally with the Hermits I never thought twice. So glad you're in with them officially, you were a shoe-in!

I like Skizz a lot, but Grian is a huge personality that is willing to take charge, and has lots of fun ideas. He was able to bring Hermitcraft together more with his events. Not sure there’s anyone else on Hermitcraft like that. Certain members have some of those skills, but nobody has all besides Grian

SKIZZ!! It’s so amazing to see you officially on hermitcraft oh my goodness and starting such an AMAZING base idea!! I’m a psychology scholar so a base based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is SO EXCITING TO ME!! There are so so many comments here so I doubt you’ll actually see this but if you I’d love to give you a little bit of food for thought for your design; Maslow’s hierarchy is actually extremely reflective of his time with the Blackfoot Nation (an indigenous North American tribe). They had their own theory of a person’s needs organised in a similar pyramid but they placed things very differently! Most notably self-actualisation was only just above physical necessities and seen as a foundation for community actualisation and collective wellbeing!! Maslow never acknowledged publicly how much his theory was likely based off the Blackfoot Nation’s due to eurocentrism in academia so it’s a much lesser known history and concept! If you feel like researching it I really recommend it! Even if you don’t include it on this base!! Can’t wait to see what you get up to!!

Doc's dry humour is everything about why I loooove my German neighbours by my whole heart... Plus the heartly laugh by everyone by the; "Big Salmon" and Doc not wanting to do editing :)

I feel like cherry biomes have a magical vibe to them. You all should each build a wizard tower themed after your mega base, above your starter bases on top of the mountain. Then you can be the Hermitcraft wizard council, and even build a secret meeting hall inside the mountain.

Complete opposite of most of the remarks I hear from her to him lmao! She’s regularly tells him in Phasmo “the next time I see you in Minecraft skizz..” like it was on SIGHT

I once dreamt I’d joined Hermitcraft, but all I could build was 7x7 cobble and oak houses and got exposed as a fraud, so the hermits kicked me out. I literally dreamed my imposter syndrome!! So happy you’ve made it to the server, you deserve it, Skizz!! Hope this means the beginning of the end of the day job 🤞

Oh my god, you're just throwing jokes out willy nilly! I can't keep up with how hilarious this episode is, god I love your editing. The segment where you're talking seriously about your build and then jump in the water like "I'm gonna punch this fish!" caught me so off guard in a good way! Then the freaking signs LOL. And Tango popping into existance just made me absolutely lose it! Well done

Skizz, please mention how Maslow was heavily inspired by what he learned living with Indigenous North Americans. So cool to see this stuff on Hermitcraft! You’re such a fantastic addition!

H has teamed with Joel before, so he’s pre-emptively collected him already. (Unless he decides that doesn’t count.) So that just leaves Skizz, and he needs to join MCC first before any collecting plans can happen.

So an idea for your pyramid-put things in each layer that align with the needs. So like the bottom layer would have farms and stuff, the security layer could be storage/armor display?, love and belonging could be a villager hall or have pets or something, and the top two levels can have trophies and significant items you collect throughout the season? Obv these could be adjusted and this might be your plan already just thing it would be a cool realization of the concept

It's also a great opportunity for collabs! Across the third, fourth, and fifth levels could be challenges/games/keepsakes from things with other hermits!

When they ask where Skizz wants to base, its just such a wholesome little moment that makes my heart happy.
