It's really good idea except the sound will be hearable only from the ground floor unless Etho makes a replica for the instrument in every few floors so it gets hearable but that would cost space to do. Amazing thinking though.

I think that is fixable by a block swapper. The water should stay a sourceblock. the challenging bit is having a button at every floor while also having people press it once, so people should know if it goes up or down. not to mention if you want to go from floor 5 to 6 and vice versa...

Iskall, for the elevator you can use a sticky piston on top of the torches facing upwards with soul sand. Then you'll build a water tube there. You place an observer at the level of the dropper, which will send a signal when the redstone torch changed, which means that it automatically resets. You can do this for every level and you're done Edit: since it's water it will also fit in Pacific's style

This is a replacement for the torch towers yes? (on top of using observers as a solution to the dispenser resetting problem) It would be faster and look pretty cool, but at the cost of using more space (to encase water in blocks)... Well, it's still less space than Iskall's current soultion though.

Iskall just use observers on the redstone line, it will fire one signal when powered, to stop water, then one when it turns off, to return water. When you flip through the pages it will pulse each twice, but when you land on a page it will only pulse once, since the redstone will remain powered. Being a redstone user I understand over-complicating stuff or not seeing clear solutions, I do it all the time on my own builds.

Suggestion for Iskall: I think that most people got hooked on the idea of pacific because of the first meeting, and how well you collaborated. However most of the progress on pacific has been done independently, and I think it would be more enjoyable from a viewers standpoint if you get on calls more have a little bit of productivity (coming up with ideas for redstone) sprinkled in the messing around. But anyway that's just a thought (:

@15:50 Iskall, what you could do is send the signal up (via a torch tower) to each dispenser by hooking up a line from the tower that corresponds to the floor, i.e. floor 6 would get the 6th signal from the lectern, then the torch tower would bring the signal up to the floor, lastly a redstone line would then be hooked up to the dispenser.

You could use a stair trick which allows you to remove the glass planes in the Aquarium. I don't know if it still works, but basically you place stairs at the top of the aquarium facing inwards and do the same with the bottom. You place slabs between the stairs and fill them with water and it acts as aquarium without glass. Up to you.

You could just put an observer facing the original redstone inputs, connected to the dispensers, so that they fire once when the redstone line goes on, removing the water, and fire again when the redstone turns off.

Instead of dispensers with water buckets, use a piston to push a block just above head height to stop you with water logged stairs in the elevator walls to replace the water source when the piston retracts

You should make every floor a different color of Pacific.

A solution(maybe) For you elevator you’re using a red stone torch line, so instead of redstone connecting to the torch you should use an observer. So when the torch is on it flicks the dispenser on then off and when the torch turns off it will flick the dispenser on and off again.

You could have put an observer detecting a change in whether a floor is selected. When the page is on floor 3 the observer would detect 1 change in the lamp at the bottom and so it would pulse the dispenser. When the page is flicked to floor 4, floor 3s observer would detect a change in the lamp putting the water back.

You could've put the output of your first elevator design into a sticky piston with an observer looking into one redstone line, so it pulses when turned on and turned off.

You could make an 8 floor selector just using the same 3 red stone lines going to each floor. Floor 1: 100 Floor 2: 110 Floor 3: 111 Floor 4: 011 Floor 5: 001 Floor 6: 000 Floor 7: 101 Floor 8: 010

Iskall! You should have just put ONE observer on every floor, so when the floor activates it gives a tick to the dispenser, and when you switch to another one, it deactivates and the dispenser ticks the dispenser again.

IN THEORY: connecting observers to the redstone lines powering the dispensers will simplify the entire system. As soon as a floor gets "unselected" the observer will detect the change and re dispense the water and the player will go through

His first design is good. He just need to connect 'ready button with piston on top of the torch and. When block on torch is activ, he needs to add repeter who is facing in new torch tower. And like that to go to all dispanzer

I just love how Iskall is making big redstone while: Mumbo telling everyone that pacific's door password is actually PACIFIC

Iskall: builds his industrial district next to an ice biome so he has easy access to ice also Iskall: buys ice for diamonds

The floors of each level in Pacific should be cyan stained glass. When you go to the top you'll have the fog effect, and same when looking up.

You could write (in the lecturn) what gets sold at each floor.

Iskall, regarding the issue of select floor and then select ready, hook the ready signal up to the door that opens to the bubble elevator. That way if you want to get into the bubblevator, you need to tell the system that you are ready

This is the first time I've felt this way when watching hermitcraft but this has really inspired me to go and create some brilliant things in minecraft, Iskall's work rate and minecraft expertise are insane

Elevator suggestion: Instead of taking out the water under a players feet on the level they select, use a piston to insert a block over their head, that way they will be aligned perfectly to the floor they want off on. Simply use the signal strength coming out of the lectern to turn on the appropriate torch tower, then take a signal from the top of that torch tower(which should end at the level you want the player to get off at). Take the signal into an observer, and then into the piston that pushes in the block, the observer signal is so short that the block get left behind; when a player turns the page to go to another level then the block is quickly withdrawn. To replace the water that the block has removed just use water-logged stair blocks on two sides of the elevator. And that's it, the whole elevator, it can go to up to 15 different floors, and even a sixteenth if you remove the book from the lectern and go all the way up to the top of the elevator.

I was building an elevator using honey blocks, and having trap doors close down to stop you from going higher than your floor. Having trouble getting OUT of the elevator without dropping, so added another trap door you have to close beneath you before exiting, and have to open it for the next use.

Mumbo this season is like the new Grian LOL

You can't tame dolphin s in Minecraft its almost impossible

Here's a possible elevator implementation: Take the comparator signal, convert in 3 binary lines, send the 3 lines upwards, add a 4th signal to signify "set". When the set line goes up, each floor compares the 3 lines to its own code, obtaining a "should stop" "should continue" boolean, compare that boolean to the status of the dispenser (with water bucket should be higher, aka, stop there), and if 3 lines comparison and dispenser status don't align, send a signal to the dispenser.

Instead of using 8 torches for the torch tower you could use 3 torches,a binary coder at the bottom (behind the lectern) and decoders at the floors. Then a redstonelamp attached at the decoders, that only turns on at the right binary number. An observer triggers the dispenser at the on and off from the lamp, so you will always have a water source there when it's off and none when it's on (or vice versa). This way the lectern only might be enough (or do I miss something?)
